Helping The Homeless
Every day as I go down the streets of Milwaukee I see many things I see kids playing, animals running, people talking, cars going down the street, abandon houses & also see the sadness of people that need help. Not because there hurt but because of a number 1 leading problem in the World “Homelessness”. Over 1 billion people are without a suitable home & 100 million of them are without a home in general. These people are homeless for many different reasons someone could have put them out from something like a divorce, they could of lost their job which lead to them losing everything like a house & there family, or some people like women are homeless because they were domestically abused & that was there only outlet. To me every day I wish that I could help these people even if I could give them a small meal or some money to get a hot shower & fresh hot meal for the night. Helping the homeless is something that I have wanted to do for a long time because a lot of people in society does not treat these people as if they were normal they treat them as if they are the scum on the bottom of their shoe & they shouldn’t. I would help them cause so many are suffering from depression, anger, being physically & sexually abused & also become criminals because they are stealing, robing, & hurting to get the things they need to survive. Everybody deserves a second chance & I feel like if I had the opportunity & chance I would & I would name it Project S.O.H (Save Our Homeless).
Project S.O.H. would not be an easy thing but if I had the correct resources & help then I could make it work. The first thing I would have to do is get the correct funding for the project. It wouldn’t matter if it was Donations or I had to raise the funds cause trying to help them I would need the money for Clothing, food, Shelter, & things for hygiene. This would be a task that I wouldn’t be able to do alone I love to have a doctor in my facility to look at the sick, wounded, & hurt also to give people the proper exams so that they can have a better experience the second time around. Then I would need a psychotherapist that would be able to help assist with the emotional, mental & physical problems that the people have endured through the rough time on the street. Then Nurses that can help assist with the doctors they could give the immunity shots, check blood pressures, pulses, & just make sure that the worse get seen by the doctor first. . Also I would need Volunteers that could assist with monitoring the building making sure the environment stays safe for everyone, also to cook, clean, make sure that supplies get rationed out in the appropriate way. Also I would need like a counselor to assist applying for jobs, creating resumes & also interview helping. Then after I know that I have enough volunteers to assist me with my plan I would walk the street & get the word out so that I can start helping people. I would only help a about 100 at a time depending on the facility that I am able to obtain. But also there is a catch to the help because I don’t want people to abuse the help or take advantage you will only be able to stay for 5 months and there would also be random drug testing. To make sure they stay on the correct path to becoming stable person on.
I realized with the everything that happens in the world its always someone that falls through crack. I am a person that does not like to see any one down especially if they did not bring it upon there selves. Sometimes it’s always good to help other people cause u never know
