Searches that were prohibited through the Fourth Amendment were, general warrant and searches, multiple specific warrants, nocturnal searches and no-knock entries that were considered unreasonable (pp.739.50, Cuddily, William). General warrant was the “preponderant behind the 4th amendment”, (Cuddily, William, p.771), According to Cuddihy he argued that these warrants were considered unreasonable. General warrants were used just because officers may disapprove or did not like you. Anyone that they wanted to target this type of warrants were used whenever they felted necessary. Bamber in Hillsborough Florida, a detective applied for a no-knock warrant to enter the house of Earl Ray Bamber. In Bamber's case, a detective had sought a no-knock warrant. The judge sign the warrant and attached it to the affidavit. What the judge did was sign a regular warrant. The officer assumed on good faith that the judge gave them the permission authorizing a no-knock entry, though it did not specifically allow it. The detective file for this warrant after an undercover officer had bought drugs from Mr. Bamber. The detective believe that this would be the best warrant based on his belief that Mr. Bamber would destroy evidence if announce. When they enter the home Mr. Bamber wife, child and some and workers were inside. Hillsborough sheriff's spoke said that the ruling will have no effect on department policy, which is to knock unless the specific exceptions under the law exist at the time the warrant is served. A no- knock warrants is a warrant issued by a judge that give officers the right to enter a person's home without announcing themselves.
