Stellar Nebula

We’ve all seen a star in the night sky, and like most things that aren’t man made, a star has a life cycle. A star is made of mostly hydrogen and helium. The reason a star shines is because it burns hydrogen into helium in their cores. Eventually a star will become a black hole or a white dwarf, and that will be the end of the life cycle for the star. Just like the life cycle has to end somewhere it has to start somewhere too.

The life cycle starts as a Stellar Nebula and there is two ways the life cycle can continue. The Stellar Nebula can turn into a massive star which will turn into a red supergiant. The supergiant will turn into a supernova which can either turn into a black hole or a Neutron Star. Although this is only one way the …show more content…
When it is larger than three solar masses it will collapse and form a black hole.

A Neutron star is are around the size of a city. They are formed when giant stars die in a supernova and their cores collapse. The protons and electrons melt into each other and form neutrons. They have the mass around 1.4 times what the sun has.

The other way the cycle can continue is by the Stellar Nebula turn into an average star. The average star will then turn into a red giant. When the Nebula turns into an average star there is only one way the cycle will end, unlike when the Nebula turned into a massive star. The red giant will turn into a Planetary Nebula which will then turn into a white
