In the novel, Matched by Ally Condie, the author talks about Cassia Maria Reyes. She is a 17 year old, with green eyes, coppery –brown hair, straight small nose, and a chin with a trace of a dimple like her grandfather’s. As the story begins, Cassia is in a train with her mom, dad, and best friend, Xander. They are headed to a special banquet, held by Society, in which everyone who is 17 and older goes to find their match and future. As everyone arrives at the banquet, they get seated at a table, and get served dinner. After dinner, it is time to find matches for the candidates.
