I. Introduction
This program will definitely help children ages 3-5 in a community to be able to speak in English. Our targets are the children in the community that needs to develop their speaking skills. Teaching children to speak correctly requires patience and persistence. The program will help facilitate the process of proper English acquisition by having the children play fun games and singing songs.

Volunteering some of your time to outreach activities can be truly rewarding both for you and the children you help. Sometimes actions speak louder than words, when you are trying to witness to people. Participating in outreach program can help show the world you can do something worthwhile.

I believe that each child becomes a whole person through growth in all areas of development social, emotional, intellectual, physical, sensory and language. Play and learning experiences provide age appropriate stimulating and fun enhancing each child’s potential future success in speaking English.

This program is unique in that design to meet the individual needs of its children. The performance of children varies on their abilities, needs and goals. This program will supply assistance to help enhance the child’s ability to speak in a step by step process. At the same time it will prepare them to be ready when they go to school.

This program also provides feeding after class they will be given books, school materials and prizes from good people and volunteers. The children will be given recognition after the program. The parents are encourage to support their children.

II. The Program
The program aim is to get the kids able to say “anything they want to say” in English in as short period of time as possible. Use themes. The lessons are presented that allows plenty of review and a balance between topics that are very easy and that those may present a bit of a challenge.

The songs are the reason this program can be helpful in achieving success. They allow you to teach a theme very quickly and the children can use the song to review everyday, even if they are at home, school, playtime, family gathering etc.

Reviewing the material is very important. Review the previous lessons at the beginning of new lesson by using the previous song. Each lesson consists of one English question and several answers to the question. Questions, rather than statements are children most usually want to communicate. The quantity of material allows a full theme to be taught, with a bit of practice, a one 45-minute lesson.

III. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the children are expected to: A. Follow simple instruction from the teacher using English song and the theme for the day B. Express feelings, interests and attitudes using English language with the motivation of the teacher C. Respond physically to simple instructions D. Recognize the picture cards shown by the teacher E. Develop interpersonal skills F. Use the lesson learned in everyday life.

Senior Research Project Reflection

...Although I finished my data collection a few weeks ago (hence the lack of posting), I've been continuing my work with YAA and the i.d.e.a. Museum. Over the course of my Senior Research Project, I've gained experience with research in a non-scientific setting, and I've also learned more about what makes outreach efforts successful. While my involvement with Young Authors of Arizona continues, the awards ceremony two weeks ago marks my last event as a Student Leader with YAA. I recently committed to the University of Pennsylvania, and I hope to apply what I've learned about writing outreach to similar efforts in Philadelphia. For now, I'm looking into future projects for YAA and searching for new student leadership to make those projects happen. I'm also helping the i.d.e.a. Museum to develop a more formalized summer program for teen volunteers....

The gang lifestyle offer the youngster a stable family with a warm bed and a full stomach. Who wouldn’t do whatever it takes to keep a roof overhead? My community in California offer two of many programs geared at our juvenile delinquents. The first program is called Wind Youth Services. This program was started in 1994 by two sisters. The nuns rented a small place to help youth who ran away survive on the streets. They provided classes with basic survival skills and resources to break the homelessness cycle. The program provided more youth than space. In 2001 with the help of a Federal Grant, Wind Homeless Shelter was opened. It provided more classes and more volunteers and community outreach. In 2007, with the help of generous donors and outreach programs, Wind opened up a youth center for young people to come and do homework; get tutoring; job outreach as well as a hot meal. Some of the successful programs have been the life skills program. Today there are more than 3 million kids who are discharged from foster care who will become homeless (2012). In Sacramento, the Wind group has put 237 kids in 2012 through the life skills class. The life skills class provide a life plan for surviving. The young people develop a plan for their...

...Most students simply create chronological lists of their extracurricular accomplishments. Big mistake! This is a section where you can really set yourself apart from other applicants by employing a little strategy. Anyone can be a member of the Key Club, but not anyone can start an adult literacy program or become the assistant manager at Wayne's Weenie World. The key to making your extracurricular activities stand out within the limited space of the application form is to focus on leadership. But before you can do this, you first need to make a list of all your extracurricular activities, summer activities, and jobs. List everything big and small. Significant and insignificant. Don't forget that extracurricular activities include experiences like teaching all those hyper kids at Sunday School, whacking the ball around on the ping pong team, playing the triangle in band, leading a sit-in against animal fur, or volunteering as a candy striper at the hospital. For every activity, job, and sport you should try to list as much of the following as possible: • Name of the organization, program, or business. • A short one to two sentence description of the group, program, or business. • Any leadership positions you held and your responsibilities. • Any special...

Salud Ahora is an analytical system of targeted SMS messaging aimed at educating the population about methods of preventative care. Our main goal is to cultivate and maintain stronger relationships between patients and their primary care physicians, by providing a free platform for physicians to stay in touch with their patients through SMS. I spent part of this past summer in Nicaragua working with clinics in the cities of Granada and Masaya to show them how our platform works, and give them tips on how to best utilize it for community wellbeing.
