INTRODUCTION
What if killing is legal? Would you remain in your house, or start to hide and run for your very precious life? According to Rawls Principle of Justice, many different kinds of things are said to be just and unjust: not only laws, institutions, and social systems, but also particular actions of many kinds, including decisions, judgments, and imputations. Do you think first before you act? Are you sure that your action does not violate the rights of others? Well, as a person, there are lots of things need to be consider as an unjust action. One example that is said to be unjust in our society is killing. When we say KILLING, it is the act of depriving someone or something's life. When you kill, you’re taking away their rights, not only right to live, but even small things such as right to smile, right to be free and right to love. You are not allowing them to continue their journey and mission as a human. In short you’re ending everything on them. Killing involves decisions and judgments. Judgment if you really going to kill him/her and decisions in deciding how will you kill or what is your way of killing.
In every society in our world, it has been set in our minds that killing is prohibited. Once you killed someone or anyone, law will put you to imprisonment for you to pay the sin you've done and the consequences of it. But let me point these things out, even though all of the human race know that killing is forbidden, still there are instances of killing all around the world. One of the main causes of it is politics. Every time that we can feel the air of election and hear the heart whelming speech of the candidates; we can also feel each drop of their victims' blood and hear their agonies toward their miserable deaths. And most of these incidents are still hunger for justice for most of these cases remain unresolved and forever unresolved. The episodes of killing is like a never ending story though it is known as a forbidden act, still lots of people has the passion of doing it. Lots of people also tried killing because of money. Once I borrowed money to you, and does not return it on the payment day we agreed, I'm pretty sure that you’re going to shoot me down to my graveyard.
We can notice that though killing is punishable by law, still there are lots of killing events happening in our world. So what if killing is legal, killing is not a crime, what do you think will happen in our world? Will it be the end of human kind?
Killing: Revenge The state of being angry is a brief and INTENSE MADNESS that may result to such violent actions and undesirable consequences; and the damage done lasts forever. When we are angry to someone, we usually think of something better to do to eliminate our anger or maybe to eliminate that person in our way. There can enter the action of killing. So let’s go back to our subject if killing is legal; then in a world where killing is not a crime, people would just think on getting rid of the person they hate the most or someone who did something unforgivable to them, and here enters the state of revenge. Some societies encourage the revengeful behavior which is called blood feud. These societies usually attribute the honour of individuals and group a central role. Thus, while protecting of his reputation an avenger feels as if he restores the previous state of dignity and justice. Thus, honour may become a heritage that passes from generation to generation. Whenever it is compromised, the affected family or community members might feel compelled to retaliate against an offender to restore the initial "balance of honour" that preceded the perceived injury. This cycle of honour might expand by bringing the family members and then the entire community of the new victim into the brand-new cycle of revenge that may pervade generations. With this situation it violates what Rawls said to be just. According to Rawls a small group of people cannot be unjustly treated for the benefits of a large group of people, meaning you can’t aggrieve the culprits of your relatives for the good of your clan. It is not the right way of finding justice for your relatives who has been slain. What if we just let the law punish them and do not just let them to handle it, we must be enthusiast in following it up for it not to be ended up to nothing. Think of it also, if your clan killed another clan, surely this clan will took revenge on your clan, and if this thing happen, will it be the end of human kind?
Abortion An abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. The pregnancy is removed from the womb, either by taking miscarriage or by surgery. Most abortion can be provided on a day care basis which means you do not need to stay at clinic overnight. Simple and very safe; yes! When does Abortion become legal? It is permitted if it is going to save the life of the mother or protection her physical health. There are such cases that when the mother is in danger, her relatives, especially her husband, will be given an agreement paper to sign wherein which one he chooses, his wife or the baby. Another is for health reason; for example the mother is a carrier of HIV disease or a cancer patient, in order to hinder the possible effect of it to the baby, the only way is to abort the baby and do not let it to have a miserable life. But let us see the possible effects of abortion if it is legal; in any cases. People will lost their dignity and morality, most especially the teenagers. They will exercise premarital sex and when they formed a baby, they will abort it immediately with no mercy and do another round of premarital sex. Think of it, people would act like an animal, having sex whenever they want and wherever they like, for if they formed a baby they will just kill it and act like as nothing wrong happened at all. Yes, this case is a decision making case. People have the right to choose if they’re going to do it or not. But come to think of it, almost half of human race do abortion though it is immoral, what if it is accepted in the society. If abortion is legal, do you think there will be enough human kind as successor of the future generation? Who will handle the future? If all people are old and incapable of producing babies, will it be the end of human kind?
Death Penalty Death Penalty is an Execution of an offender sentenced to death after conviction by a court of law of a criminal offense. Capital punishment should be distinguished from extrajudicial executions carried out without due process of law. The term death penalty is sometimes used interchangeably with capital punishment, though imposition of the penalty is not always followed by execution, because of the possibility of commutation to life imprisonment."
There are criminals who arrogantly returned to streets without being punished by the law and continue to do such horrible things that affect lot of people. The world is full of inhumanity. There are criminals victimizing those innocent people. Through death penalty, countless people will be removed from the world. If death penalty is being implemented legal, the law government is free to kill those people who have done wrong against anyone, like those cases such as murder, if you know certain news of such wanted or a murderer.
The law has the rights to kill these people if known as a criminal. This will be processed on court and being ordered to do what kind of penalty he should take. There are death penalty like the electrocution, Firing squad, hanging, and lethal injection. According to Rawls, justice cannot be compromised. Injustice can be tolerable if it is caused to prevent greater injustice, it says that death penalty could be approved by the law for the benefits of many people. An example is if there are terrorist being arrested for terrorizing some infrastructures or building, they should take an action regarding this by punishing him, if he is just punished by just putting him in jail, what if he escape or give the bail of this law, he could be able to terrorize and kill many lives again. To prevent this, the government better execute a death penalty to prevent things like this happen again, and to help and avoid such things that this man could do to hurt innocent people.
But what if death penalty is applicable to all types of crime? Everyone who commits crime will be sentenced to death. Can it be also the end of human kind?
