The Jewish Thaddeus Russell, author of A Renegade History of The United States continues to explain how mainstream Americans disown the new wave of Jewish immigrants who were met with isolation of their race from society, stereotyping them to a deliberate standard, and having government laws in place to restrict their growth as a race.Jewish immigrants were considered to be low-class Americans as a result they had to fight there way to whiteness. Jewish school children of this time were asked to not identify themselves as Americans and therefore were categorized by nigerences, having the features and mannerisms of a negro. This was the start of a stigma. Judging and treating one differently because of their cultural background, appearance, and religious stand points is what happen to this isolated group of people. Jewish people were forced to live in the slums with the African Americans in lower-class neighborhoods. In order for the Jews to assimilate and become white Americans gaining respect and authority they had to disown and discriminate against the only people that accepted, the blacks. This Shift in the Jews view point had to change this new found revulsion for blacks help them gain rank.
