Business Case Report Executive Summary Each year we are challenged with matching supply and demand. With a cycle time of a year and a half we have been challenged to make accurate production forecasts. This has caused us to compromise service levels, run higher inventories, raising costs and declining sales. We need to address the processes to deal with irregular demand and also how to work with our suppliers and manufacturers to address inefficiencies in the supply chain to reduce lead times. In this report, some recommendations of operational improvement such as decrease lead times with Textile and Accessory Suppliers, increase apparel manufacturers production by increased use of subcontractors, decrease minimum order quantities (Obersport) are discussed. I have also reviewed the pros and cons of sourcing products in Hong Kong and China in my analysis. The outcome of my review is a recommendation that we work with our manufacturers to decrease minimum quantities. This will allow us to respond to our customers requests with improved agility. 1 Sport Obermeyer, Ltd. ...criteria provided in the exercise, beginning with claim. Claim: “The U.S. should return to the 55-mph speed limit in order to conserve fuel and save lives. Information: Authorities consider reducing highway speed from 70-mph to 60-mph could reduce gasoline consumption between 2% and 3%. Which would explain the price reduction at least by 10%. With today’s prices at 38 cent a gallon. However, a lower speed limit saves approximately 167,000 barrels of oil per day and would save approximately 6,400 lives a year.” (Dunn, William N. (2012), Para. 3. P. 24). Warrant 1: While reducing the speed limit can increase the fuel efficiency on the vehicles. Backing: Some cars are already made with fuel injection while driven between 30-mph and 60-mph. Mileage will drop noticeably if driven over 65 mph. Slowing down would reduce the amount of gasoline used as well as limitation grants. On a central standpoint these changes will cost less. Warrant 2: Reduced speed limit will also decrease the loss to of aid due to increasing gasoline prices. Backing 2: Reduce the number of victim will also reduce the governments cost of medical care. Objections: Shortening the speed will rise travel time as well as leading to traffic jams on major highways. Claim: “The U.S. should return to the 55-mph speed limit in order to conserve fuel and save lives. Claim: “The U.S. should return to the 55-mph speed limit in order to conserve fuel and save lives. Background: Being affected by debt crisis, European counties are facing the economy recessionary problem very seriously. Quick response codes, or QR codes are “two-dimensional matrix barcodes that can hold thousands of alphanumeric characters of information. Their ability to hold large amounts of information and their ease of use makes them practical for medical practices” (Gottesman & Baum, 2013, p. 345). “There are numerous applications for QR codes in the contemporary medical practice” (Gottesman & Baum, 2013, p. 345). Whatever its size, a ¢rm is owned by someone or some group of individuals or organizations. These are termed shareholders and they are able to determine the objectives and activities of the ¢rm.
