Timmy seemed to perform average on the task of similarities. Which required him to compare two words together, but when he was required to provide a definition for a word he struggled. Due to having variance in the two tasks,...

...The train’s brakes hissed and squeaked as what felt like a never ending ride was had come to an end. Timmy Turner stepped off the vehicle, trembling. Joining the army had been the worst mistake he ever made. He squinted, and barely saw a town that was almost too far to see. At that moment, many thoughts ran through his head, and none were positive. Commander Reeves shouted at the squadron asking them if we were ready to move the safe house. His small battalion of 200 men yelled a hearty yes sir! back to him. All except for Timmy, whose “yes sir” was timid. Three deafening bangs shattered the silence. Without being told, the squad scrambled to get cover. Timmy hoped that those gunshots were for target practice. They were in a slightly thick grove, that led up to the town. The place crawling with soldiers that had produced the gunshots, which made him regret the position he was, and it was all due to that dreadful talk with his parents. He could remember that talk, crystal clear. It all started when the newspaper arrived. An ad on the front page blared, Join The Army Today!...

The management team gets stuck in mapping a solution to fulfill such demand because team members have their own solutions and they oppose the others’ solution. Reasons: - Weak demand forecast ability (the actual demand is 20% over the company’s assumption) - Weak production planning ability - No links between demand and production planning - Do not have compelling product strategy, sales & marketing strategy, operation strategy Suggested temporary solution: - If the company can use current production lines of Meorwrrr or change them to produce Timmy CDs, the company should stop producing Meowrrr and produce Timmy CDs. - If the company cannot use other production lines to produce Timmy CDs, it should sell Moewrrr in the US market instead of Timmy CDs as proposed by Fiffledip. Suggested long-term solutions: Production strategy: - Redesign products so that all products can share as many common components as possible. This will help the company use a production line to produce various products. - Redesign production process to make it become flexible to produce many types of toys. - Diversify product lines so various products can substitute each other when one product is not available on sales. Operation strategy: - Adopt a flexible manufacturing system such as cellular manufacturing to achieve mass customization...

...would be soon, cause George Washington has a daring attack coming soon. Timmy Tommy Jr. III Date: Winter of 1776 Many days later George Washington and a bunch of soldiers, including me, were rowing a boat down the freezing cold Delaware River. My arms felt like they would fall off due to the hard labor rowing the boat. Many of the men around me were gasping for air and many were having to stop rowing or else they would pass out from exhaustion. I soon would probably pass out soon if we have to do this for much longer. Finally, we made it to the shores of New Jersey and got off the boat. Before we started to march George Washington gave us a password, “Victory or Death.” The driving snow chilled us to the bone as we marched toward Trenton, and ice and rock cut through our worn out shoes. Not much longer we made it to Trenton. “Get ready to attack men, they don’t even know we are here yet.” whispered George Washington to the men. “Uh, sir George Washington, are weapons are too wet to shoot, what do we do.” said one of the soldiers. “Why, use your bayonets.” George Washington replied. Then the screams of charge caused all of us to charge in. The British weren’t expecting it, we took some many prisoners and can’t even count, and we lost no men. This was a great victory, we now have hope to beat the British, and plus, we get the leftovers from their christmas feast. Yummy yummy! Timmy Tommy Jr. III Date: ??? It has been days, even months since I’ve seen my family...

...Parents on Nickelodeon I noted that the theme was about getting a girl. Timmy Turner, the main character uses his Fairy God Parents to make wishes. He is considered a “good guy” however he abuses his powers. When Timmy uses violence no one makes any complaints. For example, he used Cupid’s arrows to shoot Trixie, the love of his life. The arrows made her fall in love with him. This show tries to justify violence by creating characters that miraculously recover by the next scene or even in the middle of the scene. It seems that Timmy Turner and his Fairy God Parents hold the power in the show. In order for Timmy to make wishes he needs his Fairies. They are to grant him every wish that he wishes for, with some rules of course. Instead of ending with violence Timmy finds a way to reverse his wishes. In this episode his mother was hit with an arrow and fell in love with Mr. Crocker who is Timmy’s teacher and foe. Timmy lives with his mother and father. They are married and their relationship with Timmy is portrayed negatively. There has been an episode or two that shows his parents grounding him, other than that adult guidance is absent. It is very easy for Timmy to trick his parents. He can do that with or without his fairies. They don’t seem to really care what Timmy does. His parents are rarely home. They leave him with a terrible baby sitter named Vicky while they go out. Most main characters are males (Timmy, His Dad, his 2 Friends, his Teacher, his Fairy, his enemies). Some...

...them. Mr. Wright decided that Aunt Linda Wright would be the one left at home. Of course this made Aunt Linda Wright so mad that she left the house immediately yelling “It will be a right cold day before I return.” The Wright family now bundled up the children, Tommy Wright, Susan Wright, Timmy Wright, and Shelly Wright and got in the car and left. Unfortunately, as they turned out of the driveway someone had left a trash can in the street so they had to turn right around and stop the car. They told Timmy Wright to get out of the car and move the trash can so they could get going. Tommy took so long that they almost left him in the street. Once the Wright family got on the road, Mother Wright wondered if she had left the stove on. Father Wright told her not to worry he had checked the stove and she had not left it on. As they turned right at the corner, everyone started to think about other things that they might have left undone. No need to worry now, they were off on a right fine vacation. When they arrived at the gas station, Father Wright put gas in the car and then discovered that he had left his wallet at home. So Timmy Wright ran home to get the money that was left behind. After Timmy had left, Susan Wright started to feel sick. She left the car saying that she had to throw up. This of course got Mother Wright’s attention and she left the car in a hurry. Shelly Wright wanted to watch Susan get sick so she left the car too. Father Wright was left with Tommy Wright who was...

...It’s not immediately obvious looking at these options which bank account Timmy should choose. At first glance, 8.4% compounded yearly seems to be the highest rate, but is it necessarily the best choice? Read on to learn about the mathematical theory to solve this problem, or skip down to see how you can quickly find the answer with your financial calculator. Effective Annual Rate (EAR): Mathematical Background The key to solving this problem is understanding the relationship between the interest rate and rate of compounding. While Timmy is quoted several different interest rates, the rate he will actually earn on his bank account in each case also depends on the number of times per year interest is compounded on each bank account. To answer this question we need to determine and compare the effective annual rate (the interest rate that Timmy actually earns) for each bank account option. Let’s start with a simple example: If you deposit $1000 in a bank account paying 10% interest annually, after one year you would have $1,100 in the bank account [$1000 x (1 + .1)1] assuming no additional deposits or withdrawals. If you deposit $1,000 in a bank account paying 10% interest compounded semiannually, this means you earn 5% every six months (two times per year) on your bank account. After one year, you would have a bank account balance of $1000 x (1 + .05)2 = $1,102.50. Notice that this is $2.50 higher than the bank account with 10% compounded once a year. The...

...Abortion, is it the option? When my friends and I discuss abortion it tends to get out of hand. My friends think that abortion should not be allowed at all. But I tend to think that it should be allowed for at least the first trimester. It should be a given choice for us under our rights as Americans. Timmy thinks that it would not be used properly and thinks it is killing innocent children. I think Timmy may be right, but under this nation we should be allowed to make whatever choices we want. Timmy thinks that the power of abortion would get out of control and people would abuse that power. I agree that it could be abused to some sort but how are we supposed to help people that might have gotten raped or can’t be a proper parent to said child? In the U.S., 49% of pregnancies are unintended. Do you think the parents are ready if they weren’t even planning on having a child? I will agree that we should try and constrain how they go about getting an abortion. The person should have to undergo talking with a counselor or doctor to make sure that they are doing this for the right reason. Also, we should be better educating kids in school to help prevent the final need for an abortion. Abortions can’t just be the first solution, but they have to be the right decision for the right time. In conclusion, we must not abuse this power but use it for good. If we do, then the population will be better off with it because the parents will be responsible adults and have children when...
