Reflecting on the results of the profile I believe they highlight ideologies from Transformational Leadership theory, which would categorize me as practicing Transformational Leadership style. This particular style has been described as being skilled in the art of visionary leadership, as they speak to the heart of their employees. “Transformational leaders often use the following techniques for achieving their goals: attributed charisma, idealized influence, inspiration, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration (Flynn, 2013, para. 3)”. They inspire and encourage by providing personalized guidance and direction tailored to the employee. As a Transformational leader, I believe my three strengths can be found in my charismatic personality, treating each of my team members and their needs on an individual basis and my ability to inspire others. According to Flynn, S. I., “Transformation leaders give their followers a cogent and inspiring vision of the future, treat them as individuals and encourage their development, give them encouragement and recognition, promote trust and cooperation among them, help them develop novel approaches to old problems, and instill in them pride and respect for one another and for their work (2013, para. 7)” . I personally view myself as a facilitator/collaborator, assisting the team in meeting their deadlines, goals and objectives. I collaborate with them to ensure that their individual needs are being met while as a whole we remain in synch. I am always eager to assist, equip and guide those, utilizing tools I have accumulated throughout my professional career.
