1. The key research questions asked, look at the way different races adoptive parent’s act and attempt to socialize the child/children being adopted. Evan Donaldson looks at questions such as how do “monoracial”, “biracial”, and “transracial” adopted kids differ in terms of their racial understanding development. Another main question Donaldson has is how much socioeconomic class truly impacts racial understanding.

1. The key research questions of this study are whether transracially adopted children are able to develop the “racial or ethnic identity which is characteristic of the identity of members of their racial and ethnic groups.” They also want to know if historically the same issues with transracially adopted children still apply today.
2. The key findings by Leslie Hollingsworth are mainly found negative in the relation to the key questions of the study. They found historically people still have the same issues today with transracial adoption as they did in the 60s-70s. They found that people still adopt a lot due to “White Guilt” and “Antiracist Choice” two unconscious ideas white parents adopting face. “White Guilt” is to feel the need to help someone (a minority) who otherwise could not help themselves due to society. “Antiracist Choice” is when white parents again facing adoption feel the need to “reduce racism and prejudice through the integration of their …show more content…

1. The key research questions Patricia Jennings looks at are whether the way in which transracial adoption (Black to white) is increasing or decreasing the chances of others doing these types of adoptions. Another key research question was whether or not transracial adoption is done mainly for the benefit of the child or an “antiracist choice”
2. The key findings found were that transracial adoption is neither increasing nor decreasing the chances of others doing the same. Other key findings include many white people do unconsciously transracially adopt as an “antiracist choice.” It was found that other parents who see transracially adopted children see both good and bad aspects to it. They found that people see transracially adopted children having difficulty socializing, but also that it is good to be giving the child a chance to do so. Another key finding was that it is often an unconscious “antiracist choice.” This is due to something called White Guilt, White adults feel the need to give to others because they unconsciously feel “too”
