By manipulating these variables in a questionnaire with vignettes all other variables able to influence this relationship are controlled as much as possible. Results suggest that a variation in both government aid and career expectation influence students’ decision to enroll both for their first study as for a further study after graduation. The effect of career expectations seems to be the most crucial on a student’s enrollment choice.
