Mr. Arthur Luis P. Florentin, FPM, PMAP National President; Ms. Lina A. Aseneta, FPM, Chair of Chapter Committee PMAP National; former Davao Chapter Presidents; guests; PMAPers; my fellow officers; good afternoon.
Speaking in front of an audience is always a tough task, and speaking on behalf of PMAP Davao Chapter, adds pressure to the situation. I must admit, I am not really good at this. But, I feel overjoyed and at the same time relieved - Natapos din ang termino ko! But this is mixed feeling of joy & sadness.
At this young age, many have mentioned, I was lucky to take this great responsibility. But, accommodating this position during my unprepared times was not be as easy as a piece of cake. It was a turning point in my life. Without the support from our Past-Presidents, my dear fellow officers, new friends from PMAP, for the love of PMAP, I would have lost the battle. There’s a lot to be thankful for. There was the success of PMAP Mindanao Summit, the 1st Regional Youth Conference that was conducted by our JPMAP Davao, the Performance Management Seminar which was conducted by no less than a PMAP National Director, the ever improving General Membership Meetings every month, and the good image of PMAP Davao Chapter here and out of the region.
We learned, laughed, loved, gotten into trouble, and most of all matured together. But today doesn't just concern last year’s events, it's also about looking forward into our future. It is important to realize that, in the Human Resource profession, there is always that possibility of making a great impact on the lives of others. All of us had been part & are part of all these successes. We have indeed made history!
To my fellow officers, I pose before us the challenge for this year and the unchartered times: let us heed the call for participation in the transformation of our society as it fully appears to us. Let us do our share in promoting closer ties and harmony, the basic PMApers purpose and thrust to our respective organization. Let us model the process of transformation by ensuring that we indeed keep the faith and trust that we have for our fellowmen.
As what the song climb says… Keep on moving, keep climbing, keep the faith, PMAPers.
Maraming Salamat Po!
