Our Love- Chapter One

The valentines dance was coming up at Niall and Micayla's school. They were bestfriends. They both secretly liked eachother, but neither of them knew it.

Micayla was just about to leave for school when she got a text from her bestfriend Niall.

Niall(7:45am): hay gurl hay. uh, I know it's so close to the dance and all, but will you go with me? Just as friends though, haha.

Micayla(7:45am): sure. I needed someone to go with, lol. and yeah, just as friends.. see you at school.

Micayla began walking to school, so happy that Niall was taking her to the date.

Once Micayla got to school, she ran to tell her other girl bestfriend, Sophie. "SOPHHH. Niall asked me.. to.. go..to..the..valentines..daaancee withh him!" Micayla said. Sophie was the only person who knew that Micayla liked Niall. "awh, i'm so happy for you! I still have feelings for Harry, but I don't think he has any for me." Said Sophie. Micayla hugged Sophie and said "hun, you never know. Harry just might think you don't like him. Stay strong." *school bell rings* "See you in class Soph." shouted Kayla.

Micayla got to science and sat down. She sat next to Niall. Sophie was next to Niall. Sophie passed Niall a note saying:

Niall, why are you even friends with.. it? She likes you a lot. It's weird. She should just.. die. She's so ugly, why would you be her friend? You should go to the valentines dance with me, not her. I've liked you all along. will you go with me? check yes or no.

yes [] no []

Niall signed no. Below her message, he wrote:

it? She's not it. She's my bestfriend. She thought you were her bestfriend too. She was wrong. I'm giving this to her. She's a beautiful girl, shut up.

Niall passed it to Micayla and whispered "she's a true friend, alright."

Micayla began crying. There were tears on the note. All she wrote back was:

I hate you. oops, hand cramp, meant love. Oh, and right back at ya beautiful.(;

Micayla raised her hand.

"Yes Kayla?" said Mr.Payne. "may I go to the bathroom?" Kayla asked. Mr.Payne nodded. Micayla stood up and walked to the bathroom. She locked the door and sat on the ground. Tears began to stream down her face, onto her chin. She was in there for a while, slapping and punching herself. After an hour, she passed out.
Micayla layed on the cold ground, passed out for thirty minutes until the principal unlocked the door. she stood up and walked out to lunch, like nothing happened.

Chapter 2 - Our Love

Micayla gave Sophie a dirty look as she passed. This angered Sophie, so she got up and shouted "OH. SO YOU'RE JUST THAT CHILDISH. REALLY, YOU'RE SO STUPID. EVERYONE HATES YOU. GO DIE." Micayla smiled. "you low life, idiot. You think you control me? NO. Don't tell me to die. Don't tell anyone to die. I thought we were gonna be nice about this? Guess not. Oh, you know how you told Niall I liked him? Well I have a treat for you." Micayla said, and she stood on the tabletop. "Sophie, weren't you telling me that you still had feelings for Harry? Yeah how does it feel? Now EVERYONE knows I like Niall and that you like Harry. I hope you're happy. goodbye." As Micayla walks away, Sophie tackles her. "I HATE YOU. SO MUCH!" Sophie punches Micayla. "WHY. WHY. TELL ME WHY." micayla said. "JUST SHUT UP AND DIE!!!" Sophie shouted, throwing another punch at her face. Niall walked out of the bathroom and saw sophie nearly killing Micayla and ran to help her. When Sophie saw Niall rushing over, she started choking her. "Niall, she doesn't have any marks. she's fine. chill." Sophie said. Niall shoved sophie onto her face, and pulled Micayla up. "let's go.." said Micayla.

Niall and Micayla arrived at Micaylas home. They went up to her room, and Niall made sure she was okay. "I can't believe she did that... thanks for saving me.." Micayla said. "It was nothing. She's lucky I didn't tear her head off." Niall said. there was a bit of silence till Niall asked "Is it true? Do you.. like me?" Micayla was nervous, but she replied with "um... kinda.. yeah. well, a lot yes. I guess you're gonna run away now." a tear streamed down Micaylas face. "well... I really like you.. a lot. That's why I asked you to the dance."

*Micayla's mom walks in* "Micayla, Niall. It's time for dinner, Niall your parents want you home after you eat." Her mom said, then walked down to set the table.

Niall & Micayla walked into the dining room to eat. When they sat down, they saw steak, mashed potatoes and maccaroni and cheese set up, to dig in. They put the food on their plates and began eating. "So Niall, I hear you're taking Micayla to the Valentines dance tomorrow?" Micaylas mom said. "MOM!" Micayla whispered. "haha it's ok Kayla, but yes I am." Niall said.

Once dinner was finished, Niall's parents picked him up when he finished. Micayla's mother took her dress shopping. She found the perfect dress. A lavender, short dress. Micayla was so tired. She put her pajamas on and slipped into bed.

chapter 3 - Our Love

The next morning Micayla woke up, afraid to go to school. What if Sophie tried to gang up on her? What if she got bullied for telling Sophies secret? Or for giving sophie a dirty look? People were probably going to hate Micayla, because after all, Sophie was the popular girl.

Micayla shed a tear as she put her clothes on. She continued to cry, so worried that people would hate her. She went downstairs to eat breakfast. Her mom noticed the tears and asked her "Micayla, what's wrong?" Micayla just looked up at her and began crying even harder. "I don't know mom, just.. my life. Sophie tried killing me yesterday.." Micayla's mom hugged her. She didn't know what to say so she just said "i love you. It'll be okay" and took Micayla out to the car.

Once Micayla got to school, she saw Niall outside, by Sophie.. Sophie had her arms around Nialls neck. Niall pushed her away. Sophie got angry, so she took it out on Micayla. Once Micaylas mom left, and Niall went to see his friends, Sophie and her crew cornered her. They trapped her, in a small corner, where no one saw. They pushed her down, and started kicking her. One of them kicked her extremely hard in the face. Micayla had hot, red blood dripping down her face. Sophie grabbed her by her hair pulling her up. "get her girls" Sophie said. Sophies friends began punching her in the stomache, face and neck, when she finally passed out and fell to the floor. Sophie & her friends quickly walked away.

After everyone was in the school, Sophie went up to the principal. "Mr.Malik, I think I just saw Micayla laying outside. She looked passed out and all bloody.." This was her cover up so Mr.Malik didn't think it was her. Sophie is clearly a horrible person. This isn't her worst..

Mr.Malik rushed outside. He tried to wake Micayla up, but he couldn't. She wouldn't budge. Did they... kill her? Could she be dead? At this time, it seemed she was, but no one knew for sure. Mr.Malik rushed inside to call Micayla's mother. About 10 minutes later, Micayla's mom showed up. When she saw Micayla she started crying her eyes out. "WHY DIDN'T I DO SOMETHING!?!?" She asked herself. "what are you talking about?" Mr.Malik asked. "This morning, Micayla told me Sophie tried killing her yesterday, and that's why she's been depressed." This cofused Mr.Malik. "but.. sophie is the one who saw micayla, and told me." Micayla's mother just cried and kneeled down beside Micayla. She whispered "Micayla, are you okay?" there was a moment of silence until Micayla whispered faintly, "mom. i'm.... fine....get niall..please." Mr.Malik, ran to get Niall. Right when Niall saw her, he knew who did it, and started heating up. He was MAD. "SOPHIE DID THIS DIDN'T SHE..." Niall shouted, as he ran inside to get Sophie. "SOPHIE YOU BETTER RUN BEFORE I KILL YOU. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS. YOU MIGHT HAVE KILLED HER." He shouted as he chased her. "DID YOU THINK IT'D MAKE ME LIKE YOU? GOOD BYE, I HATE YOU." Niall said as he stormed out to see Micayla.

chapter four

Once Mikayla was cleaned up and ready to go, Micaylas mother, Beth brought Niall and Micayla home with her. Micayla and Niall went straight up to Micaylas room. Micayla sprawled across her bed. "why me" she said as a tear rolled out of her eye. Niall sat next to her, and held her. "It's alright, I won't let her hurt you anymore. I bet she'll be punished." Niall said.
After a while of silence and Mikayla crying on Nialls shoulder, Niall lifter her head up, with his fingers under her chin. "I love you." He said as he kissed her passionately. Mikayla smiled and said "I love you too."

After that night, they were announced as an official couple. Almost the whole school knew about it, including Sophie. Knowing Sophie, she had to put an end to it..

"Okay girls, so clearly our beat up only brought them closer, so now it's time for plan b. we make her look like a cheater. So we're going to get the cutest boy ever, but he CAN'T know this is a cheating set up, okay? Anyways, we'll use.. Louis Tomlinson. SO, he's gonna hit on her, and stuff, and try to kiss her. When they kiss, we're gonna get Niall to walk in on them.

Now they had they're plan, and today was the day they were gonna do it.

Micayla got a note supposedly from Niall, saying "meet me in the janitors closet after this class." Once class got over Micayla dashed towards the janitors closet. Once she got there,
Sophie pushed her in. It was a rather big or huge closet. She turns around and sees Louis. "Hey there beautiful.." Louis says smiling. Micayla turns away to leave and notices that the door is locked. Micayla kicks him in the stomach, and pins him on the ground. "you listen here, i know Sophie probably set you up, but i have a boyfriend." They both got up and banged on the door. "i'm sorry she told me you were single and that you liked me, a lot." Louis said frowning a bit. "sorry." micayla said as she banged harder on the door. finally Niall opened it. "NIALL. THANK GOSH, SOPHIE LOCKED US IN THERE." Micayla shouted.

At lunch, Micayla and Niall were sitting at a table together, when Sophie came up to the table. "Hey Micayla, you hungry for more?" Sophie said as she dumped an entire plate of spaghetti, mashed potatos, and gravy onto Micayla's head. "oh you need a drink to wash that down? Here ya go." She said, steaming-hot coffee on Micaylas head. Before Sophie left, she whispered something in Mikaylas ear. "if you say I did this, i'll legit, murder you. i know where you live." Micayla was done being bullied. she got up with a fistfull of lasagna and threw it right at Sophied face. Sophie gasped and cleared it off her eyes. Niall stood up and said "YOU DONT TOUCH MYY GIRL." as he threw a bowl of salad at her face. All of a sudden, a food fight began. Micayla and Niall hid under a tree behind a garbage can. "romantic.." Niall said. "haha, so romantic." Micayla said giggling. They looked into eachothers eyes and gave a small kiss. Right when they stopped the kiss they looked ahead and BAM. Right in the face with flying water. They both started laughing so hard. They stood up and just walked home, covered in food. They didn't care. Right as they get off school property, it begins to rain. They were dancing and running in the rain together. Niall held Micayla in his arms the rest of the way home. Once they got there Niall said "i think i'll go home today, i love you." and planted a slow kiss on her lips. It was perfect. They were soaking wet. in the rain. kissing.
Mikayla was the happiest girl in the world, all because of Niall.

However, along the way the protagonist, Ender, comes into many conflicts and complications as a result of the setting of the novel. ...With the recent events that took place, JetBlue had no strategy dealing with the delays caused by weather related issues. JetBlue needs to reemphasize its strategic planning dealing with delay causing situations. For JetBlue to a successful company, it needs to reevaluate its emergency preparedness plans. The Bill of Rights that was released after the events that occurred on Valentine’s Day is only a partial solution to the big problem. We know that Congress passed the law where passengers cannot sit on the tarmac for more than 3 hours, so that whole issue with having the passengers sit on the tarmac for 5 hours was totally unacceptable. Customer satisfaction is one of the primary bases of JetBlue airlines and for any airlines for that matter. They should take more emphasis in this area for sure. No passenger wants to wait on an idle plane for more than an hour, and loosing passengers’ baggage because JetBlue did not have a computerized system in place for recording and tracking lost bags. The reservation system defiantly needs to be updated. The reservation system was not expanded enough to meet the extreme customer call volume. Since most of their agents work from home, the system that they used also needed to be updated to handle the call volume. That should be a priority for the airlines. There were other issues that needed to be addressed and taken care of. There seems to be a lot of different applications that run different components of the systems that JetBlue uses...

When you put nectar (goodness) in a sieve (the world) it will only last a short time before disappearing without a trace. In other words, enjoy what you have while it lasts, do not try to save what is in the moment. 2) Why might the author have chosen to have Ruku tell her story in flashback form? Is Ruku a reliable narrator? - The author might have chosen to have Ruku tell her story in flashback form because this way, Ruku can foreshadow and add thoughts about the events. When a story is told in flashback form, it is easier to focus on the main events and conflicts of the story rather than the minute details. Thoughts and feelings Ruku had after the events in the story occurred can be added in, which helps the reader to understand the plot. The story makes more sense being told after the fact, and makes you think about how things have changed since then. I believe Ruku is a reliable narrator. She was involved in all of the events in the story firsthand. 3) How does Ruku’s experience as a daughter, wife, and mother inform her relationship with her daughter Ira? - Ruku gained a lot of life experience through all of her trials. Her parents were supportive of her and she had a smooth marriage. Ira was Ruku’s first child and only daughter, so this gives them a special relationship. How to Tell a True War Story

...a True War Story How to Tell a True War Story is written by Tim O’Brien. It is set in Vietnam between the years of nineteen fifty-four and nineteen seventy-five. In this section, the story starts out by talking about a man named Rat Kiley. Kiley is writing a letter to a friend’s sister telling her how good of a man he really was. He also writes about different stories that happened and how he was the first to volunteer for things, just to emphasize the greatness of this man. The sister of the deceased man does not write back to Rat Kiley which greatly upsets him. The story goes on to identify the man as Curt Lemon. Eventually, it is clear how Lemon died. Kiley and Lemon were tossing a grenade back and forth to each other when suddenly Lemon ended up stepping into a booby trap. Another man in the military by the name of Mitchell Sanders tells O’brien a story to teach him lesson. The story is about two men who set out to the mountains on a mission. After a few days of living up there, the men hear strange noises. It gets worse and worse so they order that the land below them be attacked. They pack up their stuff and walk down the mountain. When they reach the bottom their commander asks them what they heard and the men reply with nothing. Sanders claims the moral of the story is that no one listens, you need to listen to the quiet. He goes on to say that the moral of a war story cannot be extracted without a deeper meaning surfacing. The meaning behind the story is if he really...

When I'M Brave Enough

...bat. I find it awkward and sometimes too far off, raising a problem when ignoring it was all you probably needed. The thing is I still think about it. You’re not a idiot; it’s pretty obvious. I think you’re amazing and that won’t change no matter what this manages to morph itself into. And in my opinion, it doesn’t need to. But I think about the song, I think about the poems, I think about the unfinished story rotting because I’ve lost what motivated me to complete it. A story is a what-could-have-been right? When we daydream about our futures, daydream about bravery and acceptance and victory, it’s just a fantasy story of our lives. Sometimes I just have to write it down to make sure I don’t lose it. Don’t forget it. Understand that once upon a time, I was such and such. People say in the future, they’ll look back and laugh. I won’t laugh; I’ll understand. Perhaps not why, why you, why this time, why so silent and why so demanding but I’ll understand the circumstances. I’ll understand what drove me and what tore it apart. My entire life’s story out there for everyone to see. Sometimes I feel so exposed. It’s weaving together assumptions that are sometimes so out there, right in the open. But that’s okay, because even things I write a month ago, I no longer understand. I don’t know whom I was so pissed off at and what made me write a passage on loneliness. I don’t need to. It’s all in the moment. & It’s not so much that we lost it, as much...

...Story 1 Paddle Kink 2.5 Amy is deeply submissive and will do what Sir wishes, and when he invites her out a week before Valentine’s Day she has no idea what dinner will bring. While this story had a great theme to it, it just fell flat for me. There was very little emotional connection between the two leads to the story. Mr. Wood tried to weave a story that had all of the wonderful kinky things that I love but “Sir” just seems to cold and unemotional towards Amy and it left me scratching my head as to why he would even go to the trouble of setting up the dinner the story revolved around. There is lots of kinky pieces to this story that just did not seem to flow together as well as I would of liked. It is short story that had spankings, some MFM and FF action, voyeurism, and the most difficult one for me to read was the massive amount humiliation Sir used towards Amy. There was very little after care and this just made me want to get angry with them both. While the story does only comprise of one encounter between Amy and Sir, there is just to much missing for this to be a believable, even in the context of fantasy, match. If you enjoy humiliation with a side of voyeurism then you may enjoy this book, but if you like any sort of emotional connection I would skip over this...

Likeonomics Book Review

...Book Critique for Likeonomics: The unexpected Truth Behind Earning Trust, And Inspiring Behavior Rohit Bhargava took the time to write Likeonomics: The unexpected Truth Behind Earning Trust, and Inspiring Behavior in 2012 and was published by John Wiley and Sons, Inc. In this book Mr. Bhargava gives many examples about how if people like you, they are more likely to choose you, or trust you as opposed to not liking you and not wanting to be around you. He utilizes real life scenarios which brings excitement and interest to the reading. The stories of motivation and inspiration from some of the most successful people in the world and how their success was made because they were simply likeable, makes this book an easy page turner. He breaks the book down into three parts: The Crisis and the Solution, The Five Principles of Likeonomics, and The Storybook. This book offers you the ability to see the world through a different set of eyes. Exploring such things as “the Likeability Gap” gives one insight on simple things in life. Mr. Bhargava points out that simply offering a good service is not good enough for a customer to come back or to brag on what you are offering. It’s what makes people go out of their way for a customer simply because they like them. I am guilty of this myself. I work in a service related field and I often encounter clients that are rude and nasty. But every now and then I may encounter someone that I simply “click” with because they are pleasant, or...

The Forager

...The Forager’s Dilemma Christopher K. Johnson DeVry University The Forager’s Dilemma In the book, “The Omnivore’s Dilemma”, which was written by Michael Pollan, I read a story about a man’s journey to find a meal he could call his own. Part III, “The Forager” is about reconnecting with the earth and its nature. From pages 277-286, the text will give the reader a taste of what it is like to forage. Pollan is a self-proclaimed “Great in-doors man” and only has a few fond memories of dealing with nature. He has never owned or shot a gun nor has he ever hunted mushrooms due to his fungi phobia. Even with all his lack of natural experience, he is set on showing the reader how different it was to hunt, gather, and grow our own foods rather than depend on the present day agriculturalist. After struggling with everything that has happened throughout the story, he never gives up, even though his doubt gets the best of him in the end. In the first three chapters of Part III were well written and a good read for anyone interested. The purpose of this review is to give you my point of view in hopes to provide a good evaluation for my fellow readers to compare their notes with. There were quite many facts in this reading that caught my attention. One fact in particular was how agriculture brought about infectious disease and malnutrition. Anthropologists venture to say that the typical hunter-gatherers work week was about 17 hours long. These work ethics...

Treefrog7

...Treefrog7 This was a story unlike any of the ones that I have read before. There was no main central theme of heroism, sensuality, or even a twisting plotline as usual. This was just the story of an average couple on an adventure. Following Treefrog7 as she is pregnant, along with her husband Morituri36, was an adventure that I (as the reader) could follow and really experience the story in a “live-action” fashion through the lens of the diary. One part of the story that I enjoyed was the different field entries of the different bugs Treefrog7 came across in her journey. Instead of just embedding the details of the encounter in line with the text, the author takes a break from the text in order to create the feeling of an actual diary/log. The story also is filled with hyperlinks to these entries, which makes it feel more like a journal. The story follows with the very “mortal” Treefrog7 as she is constantly bothered by terrible sleeping conditions, pesky bugs, and eventually has a messy birth scene for her daughter. The entries following her labor are very detailed and descriptive, and allows the reader to relate because it is something we experience in life. Contrary to previous reads, filled with magic, brute strength, and texts to vicariously experience life through, this text is simple and relatable. It is a different experience to read a fictional story about barbarians, magic kingdoms, and spaceships, compared to reading a fictional story about a husband and wife,...

Fiction Assigment

...Professor Wruz 20 March 2014 EVERYDAY USE Alice walker Alice walker’s “Everyday Use” is a story about the differences of a family split between tradition/heritage and the allure of dreaming big. Told in 1st person point of view, the narrator is the matriarch of the family dubbed “mama” throughout the story.
