Various discussion, opinions, and perception have been floating around especially in a forum such as PC magazine. According to Tech Encyclopedia, Web 3.0 is a nickname for Semantic Web. However, some defined as the other Semantic Web.

As u heard it before and I have mentioned in the earlier posts, Semantic web is trying to develop a concept of transforming everything such as documents, emails, videos, images, etc into elements of a database. Hence it will provide precise and well-defined meaning for users.

In my opinion, Web 3.0 could be the next Semantic Web Services whereby according to Stolberg et.al (2005), "Semantic Web Services as integrated solution for realising the vision of the next generation of the Web".

The interesting part is, here are the few possibilities of the Web in the future for you to visualise:

Software agent will obey human's instruction to seek for information and obtain precise information which is adapting a concept Semantic Web.

The 3D Web whereby users will be able to explore the virtual world life-style, simultaneously surfing for data and interacting with others in 3D.

The Media-Centric Web, which according to source " A Web where you can find media using other media—not just keywords. You supply, say, a photo of your favorite painting and your search engines turn up hundreds of similar paintings".

A Mobile 2.0, which was mention by Nadeesha which basically a web that is everywhere.
Do you think its possible to happen in the future?

In my opinion, It could be possible to happen in the future. However other factors have to take into consideration also such as user's necessity to explore the "The 3D-Web". Personally my reason is because with the current web that is without implementing 3D-Web, I find it useful enough. However, I might be wrong if in the future by implementing 3D-Web, it could really benefits the web users which in this post my focus is to visualise the possibilities of the web in future. Moreover, the statistics i found below indicates Google hits 140000 of Web 3.0 which is the highest and the latest trend of search and findings that people looking forward to.
