This week we discussed the topic teamwork and explored Wally Odom, 2011 article, “We Work Best When We Work Together.” Subsequently, Odom, started out the article focusing on Casey Stengel comment about the challenges of managing a professional baseball team. Furthermore, based on Mr. Stengel observation he stated that this was true for life in general, he said, “It is easy to get good players,” however, “Getting’ them to play together, that is the hard part.”
Henceforth, the statement may appear basis, or abnormal, but is, however, a normal behavior within a group setting, that not everyone on a team shares the same goals for the success of the team because their attitude and drive do not align or support the mission and vision of the organization.
