In 1985, Daniel R. DiMicco joined the industry and in 2000 was promoted from Executive vice president and became the president and CEO of Nucor. He was the chairman in 2012, he continued to pursue a rapid growth strategy, expanding the company production via acquisition and plant constructions and boosting exhibit 2 revenues from $11.2 million in 2000 to $25.2 million in 2008. His objective was to strength the company to deliver and improve returns at every point in the economic cycle. Nucor used the economic downturn as an opportunity for advancement. He used the bad times to prepare for the good. He believe that the company become stronger and build long-term value for the their stockholders by a strong focus team who seeks to continual improve.
