Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler changed history forever. He was appointed as Chancellor in 1933 and was the leader of the Nazi Party from 1934- 1945. The Nazi party was elected the largest political party in Germany. Hitler’s policies led to World War II and the Holocaust.
As a child, Hitler lived with his father, mother, and five siblings. His father did not approve of his career choice in the arts and he was also emotionally abusive to Hitler. After his father’s death he was allowed to drop out of school. He moved to Vienna and began to paint. struggled to make enough money to live and was even homeless at times. Hitler had personal and business relationships with Jewish people. It wasn’t until after World War I that he began to demonstrate prejudices …show more content…
Concentration camps were camps were they stored Jews and made them do hard labor with little to no food. In these camps the Nazis would kill Jews to create room for more Jews. When they killed them they made sure the death meant nothing and that it was long and painful. Each person that died was worth way more than how they were treated. Few very people escaped the concentration camps. Hitler's role in the holocaust was to exterminate the jews. It’s questioned why would someone want to kill all of these innocent people. Hitler wanted power and a pure Germany. In 1933, few would have thought that the Nazi party would become the legal government in Germany. The Nazi Party, brought to power by Adolf Hitler, believed that all Jews were bad and white Europeans should control the world. Adolf Hitler was born April,20,1889 and died April 30,1945. When he realized that Germany was going to lose the war, he and his wife both committed suicide. It was the end of an evil man, but many Jewish people and countries had to rebuild their lives and

World War Ii: Hitler's Jewish Genocide

...World War II: Hitler’s Jewish Genocide It is regarded as the most widespread and deadliest conflict in human history, killing more than 50 million people. World War II was the largest armed conflict in history, spanning the entire world, and involving more countries than any other war. The war has been generally believed to start on September 1, 1939 and lasting until September 2, 1945. Historians are still arguing about the exact cause of World War II, however the common belief of fault resides on the implementation of Adolf Hitler. Hitler was possessed by a passionate set of ideals to expand Germany, and with his election as German chancellor in January 1933, marked the start of an accelerating progression towards world war. Under the dominion of Hitlers ambitions, Germany invaded western Poland as a result of the intransigence between both countries. World War II ravaged civilians more severely than any previous conflict, and served as the justification for genocidal killings by Nazi Germany, under the order of Hitler. To fully understand how Hitler attained the support of a nation to agree with his ideology, one must know the conditions before the wake of World War II, and how Hitler instilled influential ideas of national pride. In this essay, I intend on showing why it is important to understand a certain aspect of World War II. I will first focus on establishing the importance of knowing what events led Germany into the circumstances it was in prior to...

Why Is The Holocaust Inevitable

...Halting the Holocaust World War II itself has many incredible topics, but the most important is, indeed, the Holocaust. Countless Jewish lives were lost. Many people believe the Holocaust was inevitable because of Hitler’s institutions on solving the “European Jewish problem”. However, the holocaust was preventable. It could have been stopped if the Spanish Republic had won their civil war in 1939 due to support by an imperial power such as Britain, USA, France, etc., if Britain and France would have finished their war treaty with the Soviets against Germany, and if the Treaty of Versailles wasn’t so badly composed and not screwed over so many nations/countries. First off, the Spanish Republic was a strong force. The Republic was all alone against Nationalists, whom were the superior force. If the Republic had support in the war by an imperial force such as Britain, France, or even the U.S., they would have won. Because of the strong power that Spain held during this time, they were a serious threat. Having a victory over the Nationalists, Spain would have survived. And Spain could have been a serious factor in the war. Given a win, Germany would have been much more cautious in their actions with another...

Holocaust

...Alexia Gonzalez Political Science 4823: The Holocaust/ the Shoah Final Paper December 12, 2013 The Comparative Analysis of the Holocaust Ethnic cleansing and genocide are considered to coexist in a spectrum of assaults on nations or religio-ethnic groups. These threats were more prominent during the 20th century which caused massive violations of human rights and jeopardized the overall security of humans. Determinants of ethnic cleansing and genocide root from socio-political factors influenced by deeply embedded ideologies which are manifested by political leaders of specific regime types. During World War II, German authorities targeted Jews and other minority groups like the gypsies and Pols due to their perceived racial inferiority. The German ideology in attempt to eradicate these auxiliary groups led to the conflict known as the Shoah. The Shoah is the biblical word meaning destruction and it is the standard Hebrew term for the murder of European Jewry. The Shoah was the systematic, bureaucratic and state sponsored persecution of six million Jews. Comparable to other ethnic based genocides, Germans believed they were racially superior and that Jews were inferior; and deemed a threat to the “German racial community” resulting in their mass murder. Various interpretations of the Shoah has given rise to similar attitudes and opinions regarding its historical events. The Holocaust Survivors and Victims Database, is one of the largest resources of its kind which includes...

The Holocaust

...The Holocaust: Suggested Reading There is a wealth of information about the Holocaust. So much has been written, in fact, that it can be difficult to determine where to start. This reading list is collected from recommendations from other members of The Holocaust History Project. It is not a complete bibliography but represents our opinion as to what are the most useful starting places for research. Since this list concentrates on works that are easily available and useful to a person unacquainted with the history of the Holocaust, many excellent books which are rare or out of print are not listed. Another class of books that are not included is works that are controversial because of their contents or the unusual theories they propose. Some of these are excellent works, others are not. But we feel that the reader for whom this list was compiled would not have the knowledge needed to evaluate these discussions of the legitimate controversies about the Holocaust. Just as a medical student must learn anatomy before he or she is taught surgery, someone studying the Holocaust must know the factual background before some of the more technical studies can be understood. As well as general works we have included books of specialized interest concerning the matters about which we at The Holocaust History Project are most frequently asked. Many of these books deal with more than one subject, but in the interest of brevity we have not cited a book more than once. General history of the...

Hitler's Germany Doc Analysis

...The Author Guida Diehl was the founder and leader of the Newland Movement, which pre-dated the Nazi Party by at least six years. She came from a nationalist and anti-Semitic family, and only joined the Nazi Party in August 1930. Following the advice of Adolf Stocker, who hated Jews and supported the emancipation of unmarried women, she attended social-work school and later worked as a teacher of social work in Frankfurt. Diehl constantly preached a spiritualist, quasi-Christian, and nationalist message, that went against the postwar values of Americanism, materialism, and mammonism, which threatened to overpower Volk, God, and fatherland. Diehl wholly supported National Socialist goals, the Nazi’s anti-communism and anti-Semitism, and was particularly concerned with stemming the tide of moral ‘filth’ including the campaign to legalize abortion. Diehl was installed as ‘cultural advisor’ in the Nazi Party, but by 1936 had lost any appreciable political influence or organizational role. The Document in its Historical Context The title of the document undergoing analysis is, “A New Type of Woman”, and “Principles of the National Socialist Women’s Organizations” (the document), both from the book ‘Die deutsche Frau und der National Sozialismus (The German Woman and National Socialism), and published in 1932. “A New Type of Woman”, as written by Guida Diehl, outlines what characteristics a German woman should possess, and what type of woman she should aspire to become....

Essay On Hitler's Totalitarian State

...Violence and fear was the base of Hitler’s totalitarian state. Document 2, a caricature of Hitler and his army shows how Hitler’s violence has resulted in fear and total control. On 2 August 1934, President von Hindenburg died. The previous day, the cabinet had enacted the "Law Concerning the Highest State Office of the Reich", which stated that upon Hindenburg's death, the office of president would be abolished and its powers merged with those of the chancellor. Hitler thus became head of state as well as head of government. Following the night of the long knives, Hitler was looked upon as the supreme judge of the German people. This particular event is key to Hitler’s Germany becoming a totalitarian state. This is the moment when Hitler eliminated all political opponents. For example, after banning the communist party and...

Holocaust

...Mike Jones History 122 Holocaust Paper To what extent was the holocaust a European Event? There is much evidence leading scholars to ascertain that the Holocaust was indeed a European Event and not just the misdeeds of a lost leader. It is hard to point a finger at any one individual, let alone a single country, and be content in saying that all the blame for the events that occurred during the Holocaust rests with a single vessel. In “Hitler’s European Holocaust Helpers” we immediately realize that there was much collusion amongst neighboring nations in promoting the agenda set forth by the Nazi Party. A myriad of nations had blood on their hands at the end of the war. How much blame can be attributed to the aiding parties is up for speculation. Many people might assume that the events that took place across Europe, to the Jewish people, can be solely attributed to German soldiers, Nazi’s, and secret police. If that were indeed true Nazi Germany would have been the utopian model for political organization and discipline. But this was not the case and many of the Jews who were persecuted were thrown at the feet of Germany by their own nation. Many nations such as Ukraine, France, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark and Netherlands, all played integral roles in greasing the wheels of the Genocide Machine that the Nazi regime was whole heartedly pushing forth. The readings we examined show clear evidence that each nation played their part to the tee...

Propaganda In The Holocaust

...The Holocaust, a tragic and horrible event in history with about eleven million deaths. Of these eleven million, six million were Jewish. Racism played a significant role in the political and social events that led to the Holocaust because the Germans believed they were a superior race, Jewish people were denied many rights, and the Jews were victimized by the Germans. The Nazis began to combine racial theories and theories on evolution to come up with the idea that their race was superior to the Jews as well as other groups. This caused them to be obsessed with the idea of making the master race. This “Aryan Master Race” include people who were of pure aryan descent and those who were tall, fair-haired and light-eyed. Ultimately, Hitler’s...

Fictional History

...world.” He deemed the Jewish people as “inferior” and did everything in his power to destroy them. But what could possibly lead a man to do such heinous crimes? What could drive a man to kill millions? What were the motivations behind Adolf Hitler? On September 12th, an all-American force stormed and captured German trenches close to Verdun. The Allies were in position to strike at the Hindenburg Line. On September 26th, armies attacked. Fighting with heavy artillery and new, modern tanks, the Allied army tore open the heart of the Hindenburg Line. British troops advanced, overwhelming the Germans as they retreated, fighting their pursuers every step of the way. After four long years of war, Germany’s proud military commanders finally accepted that the war was lost. With rebellious soldiers and civilians marching through the streets, demanding a new government, even the Kaiser agreed that it was time to negotiate for peace with the Allies without the disgrace of having to surrender. In October, he sent officials to propose a cease-fire, or armistice. But, even with his empire crumbling around him, the Kaiser still thought Germany could end the war without losing too much power or territory. He wouldn’t listen to any suggestions that he might be forced to give up his position as supreme ruler. But he was unaware of the disaster that was overtaking his country. Germany was facing nothing less than total ruin. November 13th, 1918; Shocked, discontent, all struck and trying...

Holocaust

...Andrea Cohen October 4th, 2012 Professor Marcel Nazi era- Companies that Help in the Holocaust Throughout history, there have been important events that have distinct a particular ethical issue within various companies. One of these horrific events was the Holocaust, which is defined by Michell R Marrus as “the systematic mass murder of European Jewry by the Nazis”, which “sits uneasily in the history of our time” (Marrus, 1987). To many people the Holocaust is still a source of remorse. Consequently they feel embarrassed, since many were apathetic towards the people suffering, but many also believe that historical investigations can bring about additional insight regarding companies and their commitments. The Holocaust is a part of the history that produces an uncomfortable sensation because of the horrible that happened in this era. As Nora Levin stated, it is not only the magnitude of the destruction- the murder of six million Jews- but because the events surrounding are in a very real sense incomprehensible. No one can understand how mass murder in such a scale could have happened or could have been allowed to happen. The purpose of this paper is not to talk about the Holocaust, however, to create a profound analysis of the German automobile companies that helped the Nazis to perform and gain profits from this holocaust of innocent people. Examples of these companies are the Ford Company, BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke), Daimler Benz, and Volkswagen. From 1930-1945...
