...The Cleveland Department network design will be based off how many people are going to connect to the network, the number of stations and if there is a need for wireless connections. If wireless connections are needed, I will need to know the area in which we will need to cover and how many people will be connected. Depending on the amount of computers needed and minimal amount of IP address needed I would like to use the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) for our network. The DHCP has a set of IP addresses which would be leased out to each computer needed. Some advantages are IP addresses are configured by the computer. However, a few disadvantages are if an IP address that was leased out and the pervious computer having an IP address that is now unavailable could cause problems with the network. This means that if there were multiple computers/IP addresses needed, I would like to use Network Address Translation (NAT). Network Address Translation will allow several different opportunities for the office. NAT does not require that all IP addresses need to be in use. A NAT network only uses the IP addresses that are called upon by the network. If there are only six computers in use for a certain day, only six IP address will be need and used on the network. This will cut costs and will also allow more security for the network. Because the network will change the IP address, it is possible that one computer will not receive the same IP address for a large amount...

...on your directive to create a document and or process outlining the product development process for Vision Tec’s new high-resolution camera, I have selected a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to construct the aspects the project. The WBS is essentially, a blueprint for the project. Major and minor tasks are separated for the sake of effective and efficient planning. Major deliverables, sub-deliverables, further sub-deliverables, and work packages (in that order) is what the WBS is composed of and specifies requirements and the complexity of activities that need to take place in order for the project to be completed. This is a pyramid structured (meaning the most responsibility is at the top but the most detailed work is conducted the further you go down) gives a detailed systematic approach for internal operations, which also, in its greatest form of detail, assign the projects within the project to specific managers and aligns responsibility. Be mindful, the work breakdown structure may require more detail as we decompose deliverables, the various work elements, and necessities of the project. Changes are contingent upon the duration of the project so it is critical that communication is progressive. The following outline of a WBS begins with the project title level (High resolution camera – not numbered) and dwindles down to the work packages (up to five levels) separated by decimal places: WBS # Description High-resolution camera 1.0 Market Feasibility Study ...

...opening of a new hospital, and coping with a nursing shortage I have decided to implement specific strategies that will alleviate these issues and establish Middlefield Hospital as an asset to the community and as an organization that is competitive and resourceful. To begin, I will promote employee morale and decrease employee turnover by fostering an environment that promotes advancement and motivates employees to do better. Because employees are often motivated differently, employers must develop a work environment that promotes motivation. “Organizations need to know what is important to their employees and then to emphasize these factors”. Motivation in Today’s Workplace: The Link to Performance (2010). HRMagazine, 55(7), 1-9. As an example, I will create a survey for employees to list and recommend changes that would be beneficial to them and their longevity at Middlefield Hospital. This survey would also allow me to effectively gage where the issue of deteriorating morale stems from and how to correct it. In addition, promoting professional development for my staff to be...

...Serves as a liaison between both facilities. Ensures that all available clinical and medication information is collected from the previous care team and arrives at our facility with the patient. IMPROVEMENT APPROACH TOOL: Medication Reconciliation PLAN We are going to create and implement a standard medication reconciliation process for our skilled nursing facility. We will check for technical issues, feedback from staff, compliance and effectiveness. Since the reconciliation process is not well established, we expect the initial trail to highlight technical issues. We hope that all the staff across all disciplines will find the process simple to follow, useful, timely, and that they will continue to follow the process. Steps to execute: 1. Conduct a medication reconciliation review. 2. Create a standard medication reconciliation form. 3. Create a medication reconciliation policy. 4. Purchase necessary software and adopt the medication reconciliation form into our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. 5. Risk Assessment of the proposed process. 6. Launch a pilot test of the new process with two care teams. 7. Analyze pilot test data and present for decision on the next steps, including possible redesign of any discovered problematic areas in the process. 8. Staff education and training. 9. Implement process, collect data and user feedback DO The greater portion of our staff found the medication reconciliation process helpful and seemed eager to try this new tool. Staff...

...student Week 2 - you decide Business 427 professor September 22, 2009 Q1: Do you think REESE Inc., adhered to a set of Business Ethics? If so, what were they? If not, what would you recommend as a set of business ethics for them? I think REESE Inc. did what it was set up to do. Appear as a separate entity in order to secure contracts. These types of things happen all the time. The Planet Hollywood restaurants were all set up under different corps. When one went bankrupted, the others were untouchable. Any company that is going to do business with another is responsible for doing the proper due diligence on the people and company your going into business with. Any back ground check on the people running the company would have shown that they work for and with one another. Q2: Discuss the ethical issues involved in this case. Discuss how you might develop a plan for addressing the ethical issues involved in this case? You keep mentioning the ethics in this case, but REESE Inc. did nothing wrong. Most people might not agree with the approach or with what REESE did, but that’s business. If I were Monica Ponce, I would have signed a non-circumventing contract with REESE Inc. in order to protect my contacts as well as a contract to do business together before introducing any of my contacts or being part of any meeting that might bring future business with REESE Inc. Q3: How do you think the President of CNS should have addressed this directive from the CEO of REESE...

...To: Kara Rose (Marketing Director) Jessie Megana (R & D Director From: (Project Manager) Subject: Development of New Vision System High Resolution Camera ------------------------------------------------- Date: 11/03/2012 Following our meeting on above subject and your directive for me to organize the product development process for the project I have employed a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) will be used to organize the work elements of the project. Overview of the Work Breakdown Structure The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is the tool for breaking down a project into its component parts. It identifies all the tasks in a project that are the foundation for all subsequent planning. The WBS starts with the list of requirements and specifications, which in turn suggest the end-item, deliverable, or system of the project and its major subsystems and components; they also specify which of the systems will be met externally (by suppliers/subcontractors) and which internally. The purpose of the WBS is to define the total project into “pieces of work” or small manageable tasks known as work packages. Decomposition makes it easier to prepare project schedules and cost estimates, and to assign management and task responsibilities. In a WBS the top layer is very general, and each subsequent layer is more and more specific. Every level in the WBS is the detailed explanation of the level above it. Building a WBS helps to: * Provide a detailed and comprehensive illustration...

...February 2016 Decision Made by Terminally Ill Patients What if you think that your time is up, why not end it without suffering? Why allow your siblings loved ones, and others sit around and watch you die slowly? People who are terminally ill should decide if they want to live in pain or die. There are a lot of arguments about the family wanting their love ones to live instead of die, which is selfish. The family should also understand. If a person is terminally ill and not able to take the pain anymore, then they should end their lives upon their choice. Terminally ill patients should be able to decide not to suffer, make their own decisions and die with dignity. For one it is selfish to have an ill person suffering waiting on their death day. It should only be their choice if they decide to suffer or not. If you have never suffered before, then you wouldn’t know how bad the pain really is. No matter whom they are, regardless if it’s the mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, or any other close member of the family, have to understand it’s our lives. Pain is pain there is no big or small, pain is exactly what it is. “Legalize Assisted Suicide: A debate.”(1) Discuss killing someone to suffer. It discusses the fear of the losing capacity to make the choice to die. Those are some of the reason terminally ill patients should not have to suffer. Secondly, under no circumstances a terminally ill person should decide how he/she would like to end their lives. No one should push terminally...
