I fell down. This story kind of has it all just when you think she is lost to grief over the husband she loved but didn’t. She finds joy and when she’s ready to move on she dies from a kind of joy. Using a reader response approach I find I can identify with the main character Mrs. Mallard and the pain and loss she felt.
