Can you look over this 250 word essay? So for Princeton one of the prompts is: Name someone who inspires you, or something like that. It can only be 250 words, so I tried to keep it short. Is it cliche/cheesy?

As an omnipresent force, my Dad symbolizes more than just a man who has brought me into this world. He is instead an emotion or energy that I can feel inside of me always. He is the constant reminder of my duty to uphold the morals of my family, and he is the motivation for accomplishment in my life. Though not with me in the physical sense, his contributions as an emotional force in the sharpening of my character has helped me grow as a confident young man. He is a man I can admire and a man I can wish to be, but more than anything else, he is a man that I can forever know will support me in all my endeavors. As I look forward towards the future I see him as a part of the greater meaning of my life; he will always be another influence in my decisions and a sign that I have chosen the right path. While others may pass through my life, the firm hand with which he guides me will be present always. | | Reply | 10-12-2004, 07:06 AM | #2 | marite Senior MemberJoin Date: Aug 2004Posts: 13,792 | Ilcapo:
The response is far too vague; it does not even mention that your father is dead so that what you think is his inspiration is what you believe he would have told you to do, were he alive; this is unless you have been told specific things about him and are being influenced by what others say about him. I think, however, that you need to provide specific examples of the guidance you have received--whether from him or others speaking in his name. | | Reply |

...Exercise 3: Duration: 3-4 weeks In Exercise 1, you learned about ABC, a manufacturer of new electric cars. ABC has chosen you to design a new network that will let the company scale to a larger size. The campus network will support about 1200 employees and a new data center. Another feature of the campus network will be a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with networked equipment that communicates with servers in the data center that support real-time control and management. Engineers will access the servers from their PCs in the access layer of the campus network. ABC will sell its new Cars both online and through a large national car retail company. For online sales, ABC plans to have a DMZ that connects a public web server, a DNS server, and an email server. The web server needs to communicate with back-end servers in the data center that hold customer billing data. Design and draw a logical topology that will support ABC’s needs. In addition to meeting the specified needs, be sure to consider security. 1. Explain why you think your design meets the needs of ABC. 2. List the major user communities for your design. 3. List the major data stores and the user communities for each data store. 4. Identify major network traffic flows in your network topology drawing. 5. Carl was given this task in April by his boss Monica however she has not followed up with Carl to ensure the task will be completed on time. As we analysis this case we will observe issues with the training for new employees by ABC Inc. and the lack of mentoring by management. Case background Carl Robins has successfully hired fifteen new employees to work for ABC Inc. Carl’s boss, Monica Carrolls, has tasked Carl with ensuring that all fifteen new hires have all of their paperwork completed and all training documents ready by the June 15th orientation. Carl did not begin working on his task, even after his boss Monica asked him if he would have all of his training done by the June 15th deadline. When Carl did finally start the task, he found that almost all of the required hiring documents were missing, and none of the mandatory drug screenings had been done. Carl then found out that the orientation manuals were incomplete and he did not have enough books for his training class. Lastly, Carl discovers that the orientation room was booked by another group for the entire month of June, so now they don’t have a training room to hold the event. Workplace Based Ethical Situation

...Week 2, Assignment 1: Workplace-based ethical situation Early in my career, I was hired by ABC Corporation as a pipe sales representative for the north Texas area; my responsibilities were to increase the number of city specifications and improve area sales by 20% each year. My boss also pointed out that John, the company’s veteran south Texas sales representative and I would be working closely with each other and our largest distributor, XYZ. After my two week orientation training, my boss set up a dinner meeting to introduce me to John. John and I hit it off right away; we had similar personalities and competitive drive, which lead to a start of a strong team and friendship. Over the next two years, John took me under his wing and introduced me to the key players in both the south and the north branches of distributor XYZ, all along advising me on strategies to implement in my north Texas territory that would increase city product specification and contractor acceptance. My first two years turned out to be exceptional; I increased sales by 25% each year and our product was being specified by name on city engineering plans. In addition, our largest distributor, XYZ, was happy with their north branch increase in business, due to the improved specifications our territory. My boss was impressed and asked me to sign up for the management fast-track program and had been talking to several upper level managers about a promotion. The next day, I received a phone call from...

Abc Commercial Lengths vs Mtv

...Business 206 August 16, 2011 Statistics project ABC Commercial lengths vs MTV The goal of this study was to test the hypothesis; MTV commercials are longer than ABC commercials. To do this the study was designed to be Quantitative: consist of numeric measurements and counts. Our study is measured in seconds so it was Quantitative. The level of measurement used Ratio; because in this study a zero entry is an inherent zero and not just a place on a scale. You cannot for example have -5 seconds of commercials; the lowest amount would be zero which would mean there were no commercials. The way the study was performed was Observational study: the researcher observes and measures characteristics of a part of a population but does not change existing conditions. Our study is observational because during the course of the research only observatory measurements were taken. The persons doing the study did not in any form interact with subject to change the result. The sampling technique was random sample, a sample in which every member of a population has an equal chance of being selected. The study is a random sample because the study did not test a specific time frame. There are no apparent confounding variables, however if all measurements were taken in the same timeframe, they may not show the whole picture. For example a show that has a more loyal following may be able to have longer commercials knowing the audience will still be there when it’s over. To process the data, the...
