Hello,
I am writing you to explain my education history. I started at University of Phoenix back in 2012. I was having some personal issues that needed to be dealt with immediately, and I had to take a break from school. When I took my break from school I wasn’t aware that the school would charge me for being on the break. I had to withdraw from the school because I could not afford to pay the balance. I started looking at other schools and a friend referred me to Ashford University. I liked this school because it was compatible with my busy schedule. The first set of classes were good, but when I was doing my next set of classes I missed the first day of class and I was withdrawn immediately. I didn’t know that I would be withdrawn. The school told me that I owed a lot of money. I was confused because I wasn’t borrowing money from them. I had my pell grant and my federal loans. I was also in the hospital for the last week of the first semester. I have documentation of that, and they told me that it didn’t matter. So I searched for other schools that could help me understand what was happening. I had considered talking to Kaplan University. I was speaking to an admissions counselor and she told me that this shouldn’t have happen. She was also confused by this. She explained how they do their attendance programs and informed me that online colleges are quite similar. So I tried Kaplan University. After about 9 weeks I had to withdraw from the school because I was in an abusive relationship, I had to leave all of my belongings behind. I had to move into a shelter and I didn’t have access to a computer. Once I got back on my feet I knew that I still wanted to pursue my educational dreams. I came across Everest University, and so far I am enjoying it.

Sincerely,

College Resume Idea

...play or list community service. The information on the resume must be factual, but this is the place where if your academics are not stellar and your soccer playing is, try to emphasize the great soccer player you are and make that jump off of the page. The academics will need to be on the resume too, but consider your strengths when you design your resume. Cover letters Every resume submitted to a college coach should be accompanied by a cover letter. The purpose of the cover letter is to introduce yourself to the coach in a more personalized fashion. Here is a good format for cover letters: Paragraph 1 – Introduce yourself and let the college coach know that you are interested in his/her program. It is always wise to mention that you have done research and be sure to include the name of the specific college in this paragraph. Paragraph 2 – Let the coach know that you have enclosed your resume that details your academic standing and soccer experience. Highlight your GPA and indicate what you would like to study in college if you know. Write about your H.S. soccer career and any titles or awards that you won. Paragraph 3 – Let the coach know how well you would fit into their program and why. Paragraph 4 – Discuss that you are researching financial aid (if you need to pursue if) let the coach know if you might also qualify for an academic scholarship. In the final paragraph thank the coach for his/her consideration, ask for information on their program...

Hey There

...Mark Kerris Mjunke2869 Dear Financial Aid and Academic Committee, My name is Mark Kerris and I am writing this letter in hope that you will reconsider your decision and grant my reinstatement along with my financial aid. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter and consider my request to reinstate me at Sullivan University. I apologize for the lack of attention to my course in the previous semester, and I do not blame anyone but myself. In June of 2011, my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer which was beginning to spread through his body. He began chemo therapy shortly after during the following weeks. In July of 2011 I began a job transition from a business setting into a hospital/surgery setting. I became a surgery procare specialist for a medical device company called Stryker. The opportunity was great but the learning curve was even greater. Every day I had new things to study such as hospital instrumentation, policies and procedures, as well as having to keep myself emotionally stable. It was a hard time for me during those months and class at the time seemed to take a backseat to everything else going on around me. Every day I came home from work I had books and books to go through and study for different types of surgeries and equipment needed to perform those surgeries. It was very difficult to make time for anything else and I was still worried about my family and the health of my grandfather. Again, it’s no...

Appeal

...TO: FROM: DATE: September 19, 2012 SUBJECT: Academic Appeal – Letter of Explanation To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to appeal to you for reconsideration of my academic suspension and request another opportunity to complete my Master’s in Network and Communications Management at Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition, I am also writing this letter in an attempt to appeal my academic probation so that I may be permitted to receive financial aid towards the continuance of my college education. My last completed course at Keller was not a good one; during this class, I experienced a death in the family that took a heavy toll. This required me to travel back and forth from Georgia to Louisiana to not only help with burial plans as well as bury a loved one, but also to help settle some of the personal affairs of that same loved one.  These circumstances undoubtedly contributed greatly towards my focus shifting from education to settling family business.  A few months later, I experienced another death which happened to be that of a close friend. His death came as a shock being that he was diagnosed with cancer one month, the cancer rapidly spread, and his doctor gave him thirty days to live. Respectfully, the doctor was almost exactly right; my friend made it to thirty-six days. These two experiences coupled with my company downsizing at that time as well my regular family responsibilities created a test of fortitude during a very...
