In “Got an hour ? ”(Stanford News, March 12, 2011) by Adam Gorlick, author shows that reducing the racial achievement gap results into happier and healthier students throughout their sophomore year up until their senior year. Gorlick supports the main idea by using statistics and real events such as testing out their hypothesis and proving it right. Not only does Gorlick test his method, but also has Professor Cohen estimate the average GPA of African american students who have participated in the exercise with Gorlick and their grades have gone up between sophomore and senior year compared to 33% that did very poorly.
