Alexander Litvinenko was born on 30 August, 1962. He was a Russian FSB secret service officer who specialized in organized crime. He accused Russian secret services of staging terrorism and apartment bombings in order to bring Vladimir Putin to power. On 1 November, 2006, he suddenly became very ill and was hospitalized due to radioactive poisoning of polonium-210, which was the cause of his death on 23 November, 2006. He was the first person to be diagnosed with Polonium-210-induced acute radiation syndrome.
