Anathema was born to Demeter, the goddess of corn, grain, and harvests. Persephone, queen of the underworld, was Anathema’s younger sister. Growing up together, they got along fine. Until the day Persephone was brought to the underworld. After that, every winter Persephone would go down to the underworld, and their mom would stop making plants grow. Every summer, Persephone would come back and Demeter would be so happy and overjoyed that she would completely forget about Anathema. Anathema wanted attention from Demeter so badly. She was enraged at Persephone for always taking the spotlight. Anathema decided the way to get Demeter’s attention was through doing stuff for her. So, in the early times before summer started and Persephone had
