When you’re in love, you will do anything to be with that person. This is how Romeo and Juliet feel. Even though their families hate each other, they find a way to be in love because love is stronger than anything else to them. In the play “Romeo and Juliet”, written by William Shakespeare, Romeo seeks his true love, Juliet. Juliet sees him and instantly falls in love as well. Because Romeo and Juliet love each other so much, they should be able to be together without any complications in their way. Parents should not be able to choose who their child's love is. Juliet wants to be together with Romeo, but her father wants her to be with the prince. Juliet says, “ What’s in a name? That which we call a rose”(Romeo and Juliet 2.2.43). Juliet

While viewers may dislike the priest, Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet, the play would not have been possible without his role. Friar Lawrence is notorious for his reckless and harmful decisions, but it is his actions that ultimately move the play along and result in Romeo’s and Juliet’s death. Without Friar Lawrence’s actions in the play, such as marrying Romeo and Juliet, telling Juliet what to do, and leaving Juliet alone after Romeo dies, there would have been very little conflict in the plot, which would have resulted in a very different conclusion.
