...Running head: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF OPEN THEISM An Analysis of the Open Theist Views Donell Winder Baptist Bible College Authors Note This paper was prepared for Survey of Doctrine TH517, taught by Professor David Mappes. A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF OPEN THEISM Abstract God is all knowing, unchanging, and all powerful. These are beliefs that are taught in the doctrine of God. These are beliefs that Christians live by and pass on to their friends and families. The Open Theist have come to challenge those beliefs. They argue God literally changes his mind, continues to learn, and is even said to take risks, (Sanders, 1998). The Open Theists are trying to challenge the Doctrine of God. This paper will dispute these beliefs and use evidence of scripture to prove that these arguments are invalid. Revelations 22:18-19 states,” 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of...

...this day that my paternal grandmother passed away after not enough oxygen was able to enter her brain. My paternal grandmother lived in Nepal, so my father quickly planned a trip to Nepal when he found out my grandmother got sick. The day before her death, my father called home and told us that my grandmother was responding and it seemed like she would make a full recovery. The next day, I woke up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. This is when I overheard my mother telling my sister that my grandmother had passed away that morning. It came as such a shock to me that I started tearing...

...work, I was chosen to do the sector analysis. It is a review and evaluation of the current condition and future prospects of Mexico’s business sectors. Sector analysis helps to investigate how well business sectors are expected to perform as a whole. After I analyse sectors, my colleague Besit will examine the market segmentation, following this my other two colleagues will investigate the competition in this country. Finally, I believe our group work will help UK’s small and medium seized sector businesses to identify business opportunities in Mexico To begin with I downloaded the book Global marketing: a decision-oriented approach (2012) online. In this book, the section part 2 discusses about 4 important topics related to my assessment; The first one is (chapter 5) global marketing research, reading this chapter gave me knowledge about foreign market (micro environmental) and this chapter helped me a lot to learn about the decision-making process which are deciding whether to internationalise, deciding which market to enter, deciding how to enter foreign markets, deciding the global marketing programme and implementing and controlling the global marketing programme. Economic forces, political/legal forces in chapter 6 has taught me to understand how the political/legal environment will affect the attractiveness of a potential foreign market, how to describe the major tariff blocs and so on. Chapter 7, which is socio-cultural, taught me how the socio-cultural environment...

...A self-analysis can be defined as evaluating the thoughts and behaviors of oneself. This includes personality, emotions and behaviors of an individual without the aid of another individual. To evaluate my own qualities that I share with the world I had to take a step back and evaluate where I came from and how I got to my current location in my present life. I am a 20 year old female, born and raised here in Rochester, New York. I was raised in Hamlin and later moved to Spencerport when I was eight years of age, due to my parent’s separation. I remained very close to both of my parents as the years progressed, and continued to have join custody. That being said, my parents were raised fairly differently in aspects of religion, location, and...

...The rate your plate analysis supplemented the Fit Day study by providing an in-depth breakdown of Carbohydrate, Fats, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals, Energy Balance, and Fitness. These additional worksheets gave me the opportunity to perform my own nutrition calculations based on my diet and enabled me to critically scrutinize the foods I ingested. I choose to analyze my data from Wednesday, March 9, 2016 because I consumed more Calories and had Track and Field practice. For me, this represents the sequential meals I typically consume on weekdays. In addition, I could apply more accurate RDA breakdowns for my diet using Fit Day for one day verses using the weekly average needed to account for nutrients consumed on both Wednesday and Saturday....

She also had thirteen piercing and eleven tattoos that had special meaning to them. Looking at Jenna I would have never thought she even had a bachelor’s degree. I judged her by the tattoos and the way she was dressed. My judgement wasn’t accurate. When I looked at the profiles I didn’t pick Jenna, I picked the gentlemen in the sweater because he looked like a college student. But I was wrong, I see now how I prejudged Jenna because of her appearance. I didn’t look beyond her appearance. Kim-was the first person to graduate from high school in her family. She came from a lower class family, and was told that people from poor families never graduate from high school. Kim has achieved her master’s degree in educational media technology from Eastern Michigan Universities. I over looked Kim, and picked the girl that was sitting by the tree. She looked French and also like she would have an accent. I was wrong again. I judge the individual by her looks. Kim skin looked white and she looked like she didn’t have an accent. ...interprofessional working. Professionals working in collaboration provide care which is designed to meet the needs of the patient’ I shall use a model of reflection in order to describe the proposed change I have suggested. Reid (1993) suggests ‘that reflective practice is potentially is both, a way of learning and a mode of survival and development once formal education ceases’. I have chosen Gibbs model (1988) of reflection as it incorporates the following: description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and an action plan thus Gibbs’ reflective cycle encourages me to think systematically about the phases of an experience and therefore I shall use all the headings to structure my reflection. Discussion under the sub-heading ‘analysis’ will include the process involved in proposing the change in the light of the PDSA cycle (see Appendix 2 ). A conclusion to the essay will then be given which will discuss the knowledge underpinning the reason for the change. I have also worked out a SWOT analysis and included service improvement activity notification form (see...

...People often say that Math is the subject that brings stress and apprehension upon them. However, I feel that this substantial subject provides amazing thought and insight to our lives. Usually, Math isn’t a subject that requires you to write essays, but the Quartic Polynomial Analysis Project did. This method helped me to get a clear understanding and master the different concepts of quartic polynomials. Calculators usually hinder us, because we use them so often that we are stuck when they are taken away. Nevertheless, this project required me to provide detailed information of how I came up with my solution without the use of a calculator. Therefore, I have now learned to not be so dependent on one. Keep reading if you would like to be...

The second little pig built his house out of sticks. This was a little bit stronger than a straw house. The third little pig built his house out of bricks. One night the big bad wolf, who dearly loved to eat fat little piggies, came along and saw the first little pig in his house of straw. He said "Let me in, Let me in, little pig or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!" "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin", said the little pig. But of course the wolf did blow the house in and ate the first little pig. The wolf then came to the house of sticks. "Let me in ,Let me in little pig or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in" "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin", said the little pig. But the wolf blew that house in too, and ate the second little pig. The wolf then came to the house of bricks. " Let me in , let me in" cried the wolf "Or I'll huff and I'll puff till I blow your house in" "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin" said the pigs. Well, the wolf huffed and puffed but he could not blow down that brick house. But the wolf was a sly old wolf and he climbed up on the roof to look for a way into the brick house. The little pig saw the wolf climb up on the roof and lit a roaring fire in the fireplace and placed on it a large kettle...

...Management There are a variety of human resource management methods and practices; however, the primary goal of all of them is to ensure success. The HRM staff must consider many things when creating a plan to reach organization goals; some of which include, benefits, compensation, staffing, leading, organizing, etc. Throughout this document we will discuss various topics that the HRM staff must take into consideration to increase productivity and the effectiveness of employees. I will also discuss how human resources affect me at my current place of employment and how an understanding of human resources will help me reach my future career goals. First off I will summarize my career goals. I hope to become a mortgage trainer at Cole Taylor Mortgage within the next year. I believe that the knowledge of Human Resource management has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of organizational management on a new level. The knowledge I have received will allow me to create and implement training material for new hires so they will have a better understanding of the HR role in the organization. My goal at the beginning of the BUS 303 class was to obtain a piece of “big picture.” I stated, “This course is a piece of the organization or “big picture” that I’m slowly putting together.” However, I now believe that the human resource function is much more than just a piece of a puzzle. I believe human resource management would make up at least a third of the puzzle. I now realize that there...

...Reflective Self-Analysis My portfolio demonstrates my understanding of persuasive writing. My idea of persuasive writing is that a good essay will affect the reader in some way shape or form. I believe combining effective uses of logos, pathos, and egos along with structure are very important. My persuasive writing reflects the way I think about argumentation in general. I can see how easy it can be to write a paper arguing a point, but not doing it in the correct manner. For example, if a writer just argues his point without giving any strong evidence and offers no counter-argument the paper will not be effective in persuading the reader. While my writing demonstrates strengths in organization and thesis development, I will continue to work to improve proofreading skills and sentence structure. What’s helped my writing this semester is that I feel confident about work. My writing demonstrates my strength in organization. A lot of this strength originates from class activities and notes. The class that had the biggest effect on me was when we learned about rhetorical analysis structure on page one of my handwritten evidence. In my notes I specifically write down the structure along with extra notes under some categories so I fully understand how to attack the assignment. This led to me getting a perfect ten score under the argumentative structure part on the grading rubric on my rhetorical analysis essay, which is titled “Exposing Education.” Since that learning moment...

...GLOBAL COOLING After reading this article (painstakingly) 3 different times, I have come to the conclusion that my position on the matter of Global Cooling is a neutral one. I came to this conclusion because there is just simply way to much data to decipher from too many different sources. Also there were so many different factors factors to consider. First was the data collected from the global temperature records. The first concerted efforts to track the global temperatures began in 1870 by Somerville, et al. 2007. The first analysis showed a long term warming trend which came in 1938. But, analysis such as this, were not updated very often and was not tracked very well. Then, the Earth appeared to be cooling for the next couple of decades when some scientists revisited the study and took note of the trend in the 1960s. The study was then revisited again in the 1970s to again show the cooling of global temperatures over the period of time from the 1940s to the present time. Next issue, there was Carbon Dioxide levels to measure. In 1896, Swede Svante Arrhenius calculated it would take 3000 years of fossel fuel consumption or burning to reach a level that would raise the global temperature by 5-6 degrees Celsius. In 1957, new monitoring stations on Mauna Loa and Antarctica starteede measuring levels of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere. By 1965, data collected started to show a trend. Keeling observed that the prediction of 3000 years was far to conservative...
