2. Company story

The business of Exel industries is to provide precision spraying equipments to three markets: farming, industry and consumers worldwide. It was created in 1987 in France in the heart of champagne wine region by Patrick Ballu, sprang from a long line of inventors. In 1952, his father had set up “Tecnoma” offering spraying equipments for agriculture. But in 1987 his son took over the company and Tecnoma, newly named “Exel Industries”, has become a leader in farming spraying equipment in only seven years. After this, the Ballu family business joined the French Stock exchange market in 1997, which helped keeping on growing. Now we are ranked first worldwide in precision spraying techniques for plant protection and third for materials protection. We are strongly dedicated to offer the most innovative spraying equipment thanks to high investments in R&D. Our growth is maintained sustainably since the beginning with an annual revenues of €525 K in 2012 and we are now located in 26 countries all over the world. We have 3,200 employee and they are all dedicated to ensure the better customer service enabling you to spray the right dose, in the right place at the right time!
