...which various processes occur and above all the citizens are an integral part of this complex system. Each city like a person has its own history, its own individual character, its foundation and traditions. There are cities where people can carry out their dreams and aspirations. People aspire to these cities, hoping to find themselves to determine their appointment and change lives for the better. It often happens that the city welcomes guests who soon become relatives. But sometimes it happens quite differently, a city, especially a large one doesn’t accept strangers doesn’t give a chance and an opportunity to realize yourself. Astana is the city where I spent the first part of my life. There are many people and places that are close to me, there are my friends, my first failures and successes, the first experiences of my life. Astana is my little mother land, a peaceful corner, where I can hide from any adversity and trouble. It is so nice to think that in the huge world you have a...

...Finland. It includes issues such as arms control and the promotion of human rights, freedom of the press and fair elections. It has 550 headquarters staff and about 2300 field staff. The OSCE deals with early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation. Its 57 participating states are located in Europe, Asia and North America and cover most of the land area of the Northern Hemisphere. It was created during the Cold War era. The six official languages of the OSCE are English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. Political direction of organization is given by heads of state or government during summits. Summits are not regular or scheduled but held as needed. The last summit took place in Astana (Kazakhstan), on 1 and 2 December 2010. It was the first time when the Organisation has been led by a post-Soviet, Asian and Muslim country. At the same time the OSCE, whose mission is promoting democracy, is being chaired by an authoritarian state. Kazakhstan has been entrusted with the OSCE’s chairmanship because our country within less than twenty years of independence, has modernised and reached an economic development, it has ambitious foreign policy, all without any social unrest. The Kazakh chairmanship of OSCE's is a chance for Kazakhstan becoming a 'spokescountry' for Central Asia, or even CIS(Commonwealth of Independent States) to the West. This could prompt the Organisation to pay more attention to issues on Central...

...his speech to national news agency Nur.kz. The president of the republic has a solid view that this exhibition may have a turning point in the history of Kazakhstan. From the speech of the president, it is clear that Kazakh culture is so rich, but, on the other hand, he points out the ignorance of scenic spots in Kazakhstan by local population. His main concern is that if the locals have limited interest to the culture of the republic where they live, it will be challenging to preserve culture in the future, regardless of any event on a global scale. Even in 2017 in Expo date, which is planned to be held in Astana, people throughout the world may not see Kazakh culture, as the architecture of the Left side of the Astana, the venue of Expo, is in a mixture of styles and, there are no places which remind Kazakhstan historical background. The language of communication in Astana is Russian as well, due to geographical location and close border with the Russian Federation. All these aspect prevent tend to worsen local culture. The conclusion to be drawn that language is a powerful tool and a driving force to enhance culture, if both government authorities as well as individuals do nothing, the loss of cultural identity for Kazakhstan is inevitable process....

...ID: 20090932 Course: Introduction to Music Instructor: Shirin Mussayeva Date: July 4 How changes in Kazakhstani society are reflected in music? Music is a mirror of the society. As society changes so does its music. 20 years have passed as Kazakhstan became an independent country. Changed not only the country but its people who became more patriotic, confident and modern. They started talking about those things that had not talked for years, they started singing about those problems they have and things they desire. This was reflected in our music, which is changing year by year. I want to talk about our contemporary music, positive and negative issues, how changes and development of our country and its society influenced music. I do not think that Kazakhstani modern music is at the peak of popularity. However, more artists appeared on the scene, more songs appeared on the television and the radio, and we start listening to it. If earlier we tried to imitate western performers, now we have own opinion, dreams and desires. Our songs have become more special and individual. The reason of this is development of our country. We start living better; we have more opportunities and perceptions. People feel it and try to reflect their sense of patriotism and gratitude in their songs. One of the famous patriotic songs which I like is “Moi Kazakhstan” in which Kazakhstani pop stars like A-Studio, Ivan Breusov, Makpal Isabekova start singing with words: “Здравствуй столица-это...

...Over the last few years Kazakhstan has implemented foreign policies aimed to improve relations with a vast array of new geopolitical actors, besides common partners such as Russia, on which the Central Asian country was formerly heavily dependent. Using its huge potential in the hydrocarbon industry, Kazakhstan has managed to rise above all other Central Asian states in terms of political and economic importance and has turned its eyes to China as an important and powerful partner for cooperation in the economic, political, and security spheres. This article on Kazakhstan and China was written by Fabio Belafatti, and originally published by our knowledge partner "Equilibri" at the following address: http://www.equilibri.net/nuovo/sites/default/files/focus_belafatti_china%20kazakhstan.pdf The “Kazakh path” (with its contradictions) and Kazakh-Chinese relations In recent years Kazakhstan has become an important actor in regional international relations in Central Asia. The country's improvements have been underscored by international observers in many occasions. It is undeniable that compared to the rest of the region, Kazakhstan shows much higher levels of development. In purely macroeconomic terms, Kazakhstan’s economy is the largest in Central Asia and has shown very high growth levels for many years, recovering very fast when hit by the world economic crisis. In broader terms, Kazakhstan’s success is underscored by the fact that it is the only country in the region...

...Madina Suleyman Demirel University Kazakhstan, Kaskelen Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences Specialty: Finance Email: madina-akhtanova@mail.ru Abstract Nowadays conditions of rapid rise of competition around the world induce companies to pay attention to absolutely new fields of management. This research concentrates on the field , called Time management. The paper here looks at whether Kazakhstan companies use and have good time management techniques and if they apply Stephen R.Covey’s popular theory of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective people. The purpose of this study is to examine the omissions of Kazakhstan companies in this issue and find the ways of correction. The sample of 85 companies, locating in Almaty, Astana, Shymkent and Aktobe has chosen to participate in this research. Data was collected through the results of well-constructed questionnaires and by the agency of general managers of companies. Questionnaire was distributed to all potential respondents. A total of 76 companies returned the completed questionnaire. The finding shows that most companies have placed low emphasis on company time management. In addition, the results identifies that only small portion of companies are familiar with the book «The Seven Habits of Highly Effective people» by Stephen Covey. With greater competition in the globalized market, this research implicates that Kazakhstan companies also should give greater priority to dynamic developments in time management...

...Impact of mega-sporting events 1 The impact of international mega-sporting events oh host cities Regina Glazman 20151794 ARW2 for law students KIMEP regina.glazman@kimep.kz Impact of mega-sporting events 2 Abstract While a mega-sport event is scheduled at least once every year somewhere in the world, these events are rare occurrences for the host cities and countries. The benefits of such events seem lucrative; the very fact that many countries bid to host these events suggests that the benefits – be they tangible or intangible – more often than not outweigh the costs. However, some experts claim that it is almost impossible to achieve goal and provide a successful result. Therefore, the research question is : Do cities benefit from international mega-sporting events or it is just "showing-off"? When a city or nation is awarded the privilege of hosting a mega event, they are almost always required to enhance or develop their infrastructure. The developments which are created from these events are known as legacies. However, these legacies have a great risk to become "white elephants" ( Barclay, 2009,p.3). Thereupon, my research project was directed to understand do facilities in Almaty which were built for 2011 Asian Winter Games are used today and provide help for national athletes and the city. Result showed they do, but not without problems. However, legacies can come in many forms such as economic, tourism or sporting. Consequently, summarizing everything...

...Sjdddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd Hizb-ut-Tahrir first appeared in Kazakhstan in the south in the 1990s. Beibut Saparaly, a cleric at the Astana-based Kaganat religious education center, said in March 2005 that the "idea to create a caliphate is supported by many youth. Some years ago, we heard that [Hizb ut-Tahrir] had support in Shymkent and in Pavlodar. But lately, particularly after Qurban-Ayt, we learned that [Hizb ut-Tahrir] leaflets had been distributed in all mosques in the southern capital of Almaty."[7] Kazakh police have arrested HuT members in southern Kazakhstan for several years, but the first arrests of members in northern Kazakhstan were in 2004.[14] Novoye Pokoleniye has attributed the popularity of Hizb-ut-Tahrir to the social and economic conditions of the populace. One journalist wrote that illiteracy, poverty, and the "proximity of trouble spots allow various types of 'teachers' to act very freely there." Additionally, as "one head cell is cut off," it is "replaced by several new ones."[17] The Kazakh government found the first Hizb-ut-Tahrir cell in Kentai in 2000. The HuT presence in Kazakhstan then spread in the country, primarily in southern Kazakhstan.[18] Rashid Tusupbekov, the Prosecutor General, asked the Supreme Court to add Hizb ut-Tahrir to the list of banned terrorist organizations on 17 March 2005, citing its ties to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.[19] Police arrested Kuanysh Bekzhanov, a 20-year...
