...Question:- Think of a recent transaction and/or interaction that you had with any business entity,or a staff of an organization. • Describe your experience from larger to personal context. • How did this influence the outcome of your communication? Answer:- Recently I went to the showroom of TOSHIBA near Uttara in order to buy a laptop. After getting admitted in IBA-JU, I greatly felt the necessity of having a laptop. Moreover, if I consider the larger contexts, then I must say that it is the age of scinece and technology and our economic condition also permits me to do so. So, using a laptop is very much necessary considering the suurrounding culture. Regarding personal contexts, I decided to buy a black colored laptop from TOSHIBA because it has a well reputation in the market. I didn’t have the address of its showrooms but I had an e-mail address. So, I sent an e-mail asking for the address of its showrooms and what types of laptops were available within my financial capacity as I knew that the prices were fixed. Then I got an e-mail from TOSHIBA where all necessary informations were given. But there arised another problem because there was no laptop available within my financial capacity. Those were too much expensive for me. The company also sent some models of netbook which were within my capacity. So, I went to the showroom and the salesmen showed me different models of netbook. I couldn’t decide what to do because still I was thinking...

...Report to Sandra Re: Controls over Non-Current Assets By: HD Introduction The purpose of this report is to evaluate the business’s procedures over controls laptops and to make recommendations so that the business will have better control over non-current assets. Importance of Internal Controls Non-current assets are those assets acquired by the business for the purpose of earning revenue, rather than for the purpose of resales. Some of these assets are often called “property, plant and equipment” and are usually kept for longer than one accounting period. These assets come at a considerable expense to the business, so they require adequate controls to be implemented to protect them. A suitable control system includes procedures addressing the following issues: • Purchasing of assets • Administrative controls • Property, plant and equipment register Acquisition of Assets It is pleasing that initial purchase of 10 laptop computers was properly authorised. However, Amanda had no authority to purchase extra 3 computers. While Amanda purchases three computers, she might not obtain the entire best offers and There is no mention as to whether the new computers are the same as the original ones purchased in terms of performance, reliability and repair costs, etc. The business usually extends the warranties of the computers within three years just in case if there is any problem with it. The three computers that Amanda bought has not been record in the systems...

...more closely resembles the MacBook Air than other Ultrabooks do, and it really does elicit a Zen-like feeling. Throw in an i5 processor, Bluetooth 4.0, and a USB 3.0 port, and the Zenbook UX31E is almost--but not quite--perfect. Our review model, priced at $1099 (as of November 15, 2011), sports an Intel Core i5-2557M processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid-state drive. It also features a built-in 0.3-megapixel webcam, a microphone, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Performance-wise, the Zenbook UX31E is surprisingly robust considering its sleek form. In our WorldBench 6 benchmark suite, the Zenbook earned a score of 125--better than several of our top-rated ultraportable laptops, including the Samsung Series 9 (which had a mark of 103), the Asus U36S (114), and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 (124). This result also makes it slightly faster than the other Ultrabooks we’ve tested so far. The Zenbook has no discrete graphics card, and therefore relies on Intel's integrated graphics (as most ultraportables do). Graphics performance is slightly below average for the category: In our Far Cry 2 graphics tests, the Zenbook managed a frame rate of 31.4 frames per second (at low quality settings and 800-by-600-pixel resolution). That frame rate is below average for the past few ultraportables we've tested, but not too far below. Still, it means that the Zenbook won't satisfy gamers. The Zenbook UX31E is a breathtaking computer, different in appearance from Apple's MacBook Air series in a few...

...ASUS X51V Live Update User’s Guide Critique Samuel Adams ENG/221 Jack Bean 2/20/2012 “A manual provides instruction and other information necessary to accomplish something—that is, to solve a problem” (2010). From savvy businessmen to home mechanics, a properly created manual can make the difference between success and failure. User manuals are found with every device we use today and many do their intended job professionally: Solve problems. The online user manual for the ASUS X51V motherboard provides the reader with instructions on how to update the BIOS and Drivers through a program called ASUS Live Update. The manual consists of a numbered list accompanied by an image for each number. While ASUS does succeed in solving the problem provided, the quality of the guide lacking and barely does the job of catering to the reader. Considering the Reader The ASUS Live Update guide was published in 2010, a year after the release of Windows 7, but utilizes Windows XP for their example. While it may unnecessary to include older versions of windows, due to compatibility issues, the reader could be confused by the images if they are using a user interface from Windows Vista or Windows 7. The method for opening the file displayed on the image may be very similar across the Operating Systems but not every user will find this as obvious. In this sense, the images are hindering the user more than they are helping the reader. The author also seems to assume that the reader has knowledge...
