...PROCEDURES FOR CONDUCTING PRACTICAL ICT TESTS The Supervisor A suitably competent supervisor, who may be the candidates’ tutor, is responsible for the administration of the practical tests according to these instructions. The supervisor is responsible for the preparation of the hardware and software for the test. Timetabling of the Practical Tests CIE does not timetable the practical tests in the same way as most IGCSE and AS & A Level written papers. The IGCSE and AS & A Level timetable will specify a period within which candidates must take the two practical tests for each syllabus. Within this period, Centres may conduct the practical tests at any convenient time or times. Candidates must complete each practical test in a single session. Wherever possible, candidates from the same Centre should sit their assessment at the same time. If more than one session is necessary to accommodate all candidates, these sessions should follow on from each other. However, Centres do not need to sequester candidates until other candidates have taken the test. When arranging examination dates, Centres should take into account the time needed to set up the system and should allow contingency planning (e.g. to reschedule examination times due to possible hardware failure) wherever possible. Preparation for the Practical Tests Before the candidates take a practical test, the supervisor must work through a past/specimen paper, using the hardware and software that the candidates will be using...

...This customer data file is for 60,000 customer records in the restaurant category. Clean up the data: As with most customer data files, there is incomplete information. Address how you handle incomplete data. (I suggest completely eliminating records in Acquisition Channel with “NULL” or “Uncategorized”.) Also eliminate any records with blank in Ethnicity. Note in Ethnicity African-Americans is also coded as Afr. Am. so these two should be combined. In Age of Kids there are cells coded as Pre-teen &? I suggest combining with “Age Mix” or “Preteen & Teenagers”. After cleaning up the file, we are left with 26,352 records which should still be an adequate sample size.) Questions for analysis: 1. Calculate the profitability of each customer. Assume the average Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for all vouchers (with promotional discounts factored in) is 20% of the total revenue. Assume the average one-time Cost per Acquisition (CPA) for each channel is: $12 for Advertising, $10 for Affiliate, $5 for Email, $8 for ILS, $7 for Paid Search and $5 for Social Media. Assume there are no additional costs. You may find the Excel VLOOKUP function helpful for this (https://support.office.com/en-sg/article/VLOOKUP-function-0bbc8083-26fe-4963-8ab8-93a18ad188a1). 2. What does the “average” ECB.com customer look like? Is the “average” customer desirable or undesirable? Why? 3. Describe each segment (new, engaged, lapsed, inactive). How much revenue does each segment...

On the age of three, Jose already learned his alphabet, how to pray, and reaching the age of 5, he can read the Holy Bible and he can also write in Spanish. As early as his age, his mother told a story about the “The Young Moth”, which made the profoundest impression on him in the tragic fate of the young moth, which died a martyr to its illusions. When Jose grew older, his parents employed private tutors, Maestro Colestino was Jose’s first private tutor, second private tutor was Maestro Lucas Padua and his third tutor was Maestro Leon Monroy, a classmate of his father, who taught Rizal in Spanish and Latin for five months. Education at Binan, Laguna Five months later, the latter maestro died and Jose was sent to a school in Binan. In June 1869, Jose travelled to Binan, accompanied by Paciano(his older brother). Upon arriving at Binan, Jose lodged at the house of his aunt. Maestro Justiano Aquino Cruz was his first formal teacher. ...Introducing Transaction Log Files Each SQL Server 2000 database has at least one transaction log file and can have multiple transaction log files spread across a number of disks. Each transaction log file is a separate operating system file and is used by only one database. Each transaction log file generally has the .ldf filename extension (this extension is not required). Each transaction log has a logical filename that is used in Transact-SQL statements and a physical filename that is used by the Windows operating system. Additional file properties include the file ID number, initial file size, file growth increment (if any), and maximum file size. Unlike data files that contain pages, transaction log files contain a series of transaction log records. A sequential log sequence number (LSN) identifies each transaction log record. Regardless of the number of physical log files, SQL Server 2000 treats the transaction log as one continuous log. SQL Server 2000 logically divides each physical transaction log file into a number of virtual log files (VLFs). The number and size of virtual log files are determined dynamically based on the size of each transaction log file. Each transaction log file has at least two VLFs. Each growth increment (if any) is treated as a separate physical file with its own VLFs. The number or size of VLFs cannot be configured or set directly by the database administrator. SQL Server 2000 tries to maintain a small number of virtual file logs because it operates...

...1. DEAD STARS Pas Marquez Benitez 2. The story is about a love triangle between Alfredo, Esperanza and Julia 3. Under the tree, Alfredo was remembering what happened six weeks ago… 4. One evening, he had gone “neighbouring” with Don Julian(Alfredo’s father) to Judge del Valle’s house wherein he met Julia Salas(Judge’s sister-in-law) 5. One Sunday morning, after the mass, Esperanza indirectly asked Alfredo about the visits they did. Uneasy feeling crept into his thoughts about the girl next door(Julia). Esperanza wanted to know if Alfredo goes straight at home after mass. Alfredo realized that after every mass, he was excited to go on “neighbouring” 6. Alfredo answered untruthfully, he said he went home to work or sometimes he goes neighbouring with Don Julian to Judge del Valle’s house Esperanza dropped the topic. She believed that if a man is engaged, he could not possibly love another woman 7. Just before the Holy week, Don Julian invited Judge del Valle and his family to go in Tanda to spend their Sunday afternoon there. In Tanda, Don Julian had a coconut plantation and a house on the beach 8. Julia & Alfredo talked. There was breeze from the water. It blew Julia’s hair away on her forehead. “I hope you’re enjoying this” “Very much. It looks like home to me, except we do not have such a lovely beach” 9. As they talked, Julia said that it might be the last time that they’ll see each other. “Why did you say this is the last time?” he said quietly as they turned back...

...Marc Nikkilo Chew Ervyn Bernadas CHAPTER I Introduction Our research will tackle the need for automating the school canteen so that students and parents will have a much easier access and less time consuming when buying something from them. We will do this by implementing Card System that will serve as your cash when you buy in the canteen. This works like a credit card but instead of having a credit you put in the card the desired amount you would like for the customer to have. With this instead of having to fall in line and wait for a long time just to pay for a sandwich and beverage they can now just pass by the counter or the machine that dispense the food or a cashier and just swipe the card. THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING (a) Background of the study. The modern age had brought to this world a new technology that revolutionized the world into the termed point by experts as the “Digital Age”. At this era, the computers were used as a tool for transactions of certain task such as typing, mailing, communications and even trades. Among the most important mileage in this era were the development of internet and the World Wide Web. This made the neighboring countries closer to each other. You can buy items that were not found in your country at your own home. Just by clicking the mouse and by having a credit card in your account. The continuation of advancement at this era had led to the creation of the digital market or the electronic...

...Improve housing finance access for poor – study May 28, 2015 9:15 pm by VOLTAIRE PALAÑA REPORTER * * * A POLICY paper by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is calling for the creation of a more favorable environment for housing finance in the country, as well as the adoption of appropriate policies and mechanisms to correct housing market dysfunctions. One of the underlying issues with housing policies in the Philippines, for instance, is the traditional perception that a housing finance system is based primarily on the provision of government subsidies, resulting in a highly-segmented and unsustainable program that does not benefit those who deserve it most. PIDS senior research fellow Dr. Marife Ballesteros noted in her latest study on urban housing subsidies that, despite policy changes through the years, the public sector housing program still does not address the problems on scale. Ballesteros explained that subsidies for housing programs, whether through upfront grants, government direct funding, low interest mortgages, tax exemptions or underpriced risk insurance, could have been put into more efficient use by the government. “Overall, direct subsidy to the low-income housing sector has been limited,” said Ballesteros, adding that in an effort to reduce losses from financial transactions, government has further restricted financing to the low-income sector through lower exposure of funders and the higher loan ceilings on socialized...

He did not particularly enjoy his vacation because his mother was in prison. Second Year in Ateneo (1873-1874) Nothing unusual happened to Rizal during his second term in the Ateneo, except that he repented having neglected his studies the previous year simply because he was offended by the teacher’s remarks. At the end of the school year, Rizal received excellent grades in all subjects and a gold medal. With such scholastic honors, he triumphantly returned to Calamba in March, 1874 for the summer vacation. ...Jehzar Balante I was born on a warm, sunny day in September 22, 1995 in Davao city, philippines. I still live in Davao city and I go to school at Ateneo de Davao University. I live with my sister, Jem; and my grandmother, lola maria;. When I was born, my sister was four-years-old and hid under the table from me. Jem is a sweet kid and she would do anything for me, but like all brothers and sisters we fight like cats and dogs. Sometimes when no one was around, Jem would come up to me and bite my toes for no reason. I still love her but only because she is my sister. My name is Jehzar Balante. I started school when I was five-years-old. I went to kindergarten Rotary and while I was there, I won an award for perfect attendance. I also won an award for honor roll all four terms. Then I attended Ateneo de davao university, and there I also won a couple of awards: one for perfect attendance and two for being the most helpful Student of the Year--one in fourth grade and the other in sixth grade. I am now a college student at Ateneo University. I plan on finishing college and maybe going to find a work. Life to me means friends and family who you can trust and who trusts you. I am pretty much on the happy side of life, but like all teens I do I have my "days of." That means I do have some sad days or depressed days. I have a few friends here that sort of look out for me and when I am having a bad day, I have someone here at school to talk to. I make my school days go by thinking...
