Attitude Survey

Attending Online Universities While attending an online university, has anyone every asked what kind of experience you have had? Are you receiving a quality education like you would be if you were physically sitting in the classroom on campus? These very questions can be answered by answering an attitude survey which is a method that can allow for gathering facts, expectations, experiences and insights from a group of students whether the involvement was a constructive experience or was not.
Purpose of Survey
The drive of this survey is to create scores from advancing students on their level of fulfillment, awareness on partaking in online education and to obtain understanding from past experiences along with what to believe once they have pledge themselves to continuing their schooling in an online learning environment. This information will be gathered using a ranking scale survey. The audience of the test will be students that have attended an online university for over a year. The survey will acknowledge each student’s level of satisfaction and other factors by retrieving scores based on an attitude survey with multiple choice questions and comment section.
Preliminary Design Issues
The mode of administration for this test will be an emailed survey. One of the encounters for allocating and managing this survey is that the students attending an online campus are spread across the United States. More than likely, to send out an email with a link to the survey will be the most effective way of communication to ensure that all those get a chance to take the survey. The time that it requires to complete the survey will need to be short as to make sure that replies are honest. Included in the email will be a note to all that lets them know that the survey will only take 15 minutes maximum of their time and that the survey is in a multiple choice form and agree/disagree. Administrator preparation required for this survey will not be compound as each will be given a key to recognize how to score each survey given back.
Specific Instructions for Administering, Scoring, and Interpreting the Survey The detailed directions for overseeing this survey will necessitate each online campus that wants to take part to collect email addresses of all scholars that wish to take the survey. Once each email address has been succumbed, a mass email will be sent out to these students with a link to the survey. The email will have directions on how to take the survey and the date in which the student needs to have the survey completed and returned. The email will also provide a contact address for an overseer in case there are any questions, comments, or concerns on the survey. After the students complete the survey, there is a “submit” button, which will be pressed and the answers will automatically be send to the admin. The administrator will use the scoring guide to gather all the survey’s answers. When the deadline for survey conclusion has passed, the scores will be complied to understand the responses that the students have given. Each question’s possible answer will assume a tally quantity which will be used to score the dissimilar elements. According to Hogan (2007), “One variation involves awarding partial credit for selecting an option that is not the best possible answer and yet is not clearly wrong” (p. 214).

Conclusion In conclusion, this study can be helpful for colleges and potential online scholars similar in that it will support to offer some vision into what online students feel about their schooling. It will show their lookout on attending online courses, hopes that they have, as well as their overall fulfillment with this program. It will be a short and not very costly survey to get to this information.
