Axolotl are medium sized amphibians. These animals are found in Mexico. Axolotl eat worms, insects, and fish. They are mostly fed brine shrimp at most of the time. Almost all Axolotl are carnivores. Their skin type is permeable. Their habitat is highly freshwater lakes. Even though they eat different types of animals their very favorite one is worms. The axolotl can live up to 20-25 years. Some can only go up to 15 years of living. The Axolotl has a flat-shaped broad head. Axolotls are gilled amphibians. Some of their distinctive features are that they have feathery gills and a flattened shaped head. Today the axolotl is considered to be a critically endangered species meaning that there are very few axolotl individuals left in the wild.
