The author of Barbara J. Wilson great concept of the general disdain towards tv programming is that the reports rarely show the positives of children programming. Tv shows may provide life lessons in a way that an adult can not explain to them. There will be lessons in life that a visual media may be suited best. Ms. Wilson presented his idea that children can learn empathy from characters in media that are similar to themselves (Wilson,1). So, Ms.Wilson believed that the coverage of television programs are biased and has not gone deep enough to conclude it does more harm than good.
