INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
• This assignment contains only ONE (1) question.
• Answer in English.
• Use the assignment template provided for preparation and submission of your assignment. Your work should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman and 1.5 line spacing. Align your work by justifying your answers.
• Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references. State the number of words at the end of your assignment. Only assignment answer developed within the approximate word limit will be assessed. Do not copy the assignment question and instructions to your answer.
• Your assignment should be prepared in a group of 3. Use APA format for referencing. You should not copy another person’s assignment. You should also not plagiarise another person’s work as your own. If plagiarism is detected, marks would be deducted accordingly.
• Each group is to submit only ONE hard-copy (only black-ink printed wordings on single-paged A4 white papers). Staple your work on the left instead of binding. Email ONE soft-copy (only in MsWord format) to ittngu@pilley.edu.my. Ensure that you submit the CORRECT and latest version of file before or by 8th July 2016.

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
PURPOSE
The purpose of this task is to assess your ability to: • Explain various patterns in business communication; • Describe various communication media in an organisation; • Provide constructive suggestions to improve communication in real organisation practice; • Give logical, well-supported arguments by linking evidence to your claims.
INSTRUCTION
Identify an organisation that you are familiar with or able to access information on. Analyse and write a report to describe the current communication practice of the company. Include the followings in your report:
a) Introduce the selected organisation; b) Define and explain various patterns in business communication; c) Describe the various communication media choices; d) Discuss the communication media used by the selected organisation; e) Identify drawbacks of the communication media used by the selected organisation and provide constructive suggestions to improve communication in the selected organisation.
Your essay should include relevant examples, images, citations etc. to support your discussion.
