1. Definer begrebet social arv. Social arv er etisk og kan forbindes med noget positivt eller negativt.
Social arv vil sige, at et menneske overtager viden, holdninger og personlighedstræk fra forældrene gennem opvæksten. I denne brede betydning svarer social arv stort set til det indhold, der lægges i begrebet socialisering, når synsvinklen er socialisering i familien. Social arv beskriver imidlertid oftest overførelsen af påvirkning fra forældre til børn, når der er tale om negativ arv. Altså hvor børnene bliver bærere af de samme belastende livsomstændigheder og reaktionsmønstre som forældrene.
Social arv er betegnelsen for den påvirkning, vi tager med os fra barndommen ind i voksenlivet. Vores forældre, opvækst og omgivelser har indflydelse på, hvordan vi bliver som voksne. Det gælder både uddannelse, privatliv, karriere og forbrug eller misbrug. Til en vis grad arver vi vores forældres sociale status, værdier, interesser, adfærd, problemer og evner.
Selve indholdet i begrebet er dog vigtigt. Det udtrykker det forhold, at der i et samfund - også som det danske - eksisterer en betydelig ulighed. Den andel af befolkningen, der har de dårligste sociale og økonomiske kår har oftest også de dårligste livsvilkår i almindelighed - f.eks. hvad angår kulturelle og uddannelsesmæssige forhold. De har også den dårligste sundhed, og de har ringere politisk indflydelse sammenlignet med de dele af befolkningen, der har de bedste vilkår.

2. Forklar at den sociale arv både kan være positiv og negativ. Det negative er, at hvis dine forældre ikke er særlige ”gode”, så får man muligvis også de træk. Det negative kan også være, hvis forældrene ikke har et job eller et særlig godt socialfællesskab, dette kan påvirke barnet, da barnet ser sine forældre som et forbillede. Det positive kan være det omvendte med det negative, såsom hvis forældrene er højtuddannede og har et godt socialfællesskab, kan barnet igen se sine forældre som forbillede, og vil gøre det samme som deres forældre. 3. Forklar forskellen på determinisme og statistisk sandsynlighed. Inddrag figur 2. Sandsynligheden for, at hvis man har en far der har fået en fængselsdom, er sandsynligheden for barnet også meget højt for at barnet kan få en fængselsdom, da barnet igen her ser faderen som et forbillede, og vil på en måde være ligesom ham. Ud fra figur 2 kan vi se, at fader der ikke er registeret for frihedsdom, er 94,66% af børnene heller ikke registeret af frihedsdom, men resten som er under 10% registeret, og dette er en meget lav procentdel. Men derimod, fader der er registeret for frihedsdom, er 84,94 % af børnene også har en sandsynlighed for at få en frihedsdom. Determinisme: Alle begivenheder har en ågersager 4. Brug Samfundsstatistik 2014 til at finde sammenhænge mellem forældrenes forhold og børnenes forhold: Figur 2.3 side 9: afhængig af forældrenes uddannelse. Hvis forældrene har en højtuddannelse er der et højt trivsel. Hvis forældrene har en højtuddannelse trives børnene bedre.

Figur 2.3 side 9 * Figuren viser at, hvis moren har en høj uddannelse har børn med lav trivsel, tit gennemført grundskolen og får tit en erhvervsfaglig uddannelse, det sammen med en far der har en høj uddannelse. Figur 2.4 side 10 * Figuren viser at hvis moren selv er anbragt i et børnhjem, er der stor sandsynlighed for at hun også selv anbringer sit barn i et børnehjem. Trods faren, der viser at den statiske sandsynlighed med at hvis faren er anbragt i et børnehjem, er der lille chance for at han bringer sit barn i et børnehjem.
Dog er der stor statisk sandsynlighed for at barnet bliver bragt i et børnehjem, hvis moren ELLER faren også er anbragt som barn i et børnehjem. Tabel 4.2 side 14 * Figuren viser at hvis man aldrig har været fattig I sit liv, er der meget større sandsynlighed for at man selv ikke pjækker fra skole. Hvis man er svag økonomisk, er der MEGET større sandsynlighed for at man pjækker fra skole. Der er også større sandsynlighed for at man bliver mobbet, hvis man er svag økonomisk set. Man har også flere venner, hvis man ikke har været fattig. Figur 4.2 side 15 * Jo højere uddannelse ens forældre har haft, jo større sandsynlighed er der for at man for en lang videregående uddannelse, hvorimod er der større sandsynlighed for at man kun gennemgår grundskolen, hvis man er i underklassen. Tabel 4.3 side 15 • Tabellen viser at elever der er rige har en større chance for ikke at pjække. De skole elever, som er rige bliver heller ikke mobbet så meget, som dem der er fattige. Om man er fattig eller ej påvirker åbenbart også om hvor mange venner man har.

Økonomisk kapital: Hvor godt man økonomisk har det Kulturel kapital: hvorvidt man behersker de sociale koder. Om man har acceptabel tøjsmag, om man taler pænt og nuanceret sprog og om man har en passende kropsholdning. Social kapital: Begrebet habitus: er et udtryk for vaner dvs. handlemønstre, om vores moralske normer og evnen til at tackle tilværelsen, fx evnen til at løse konflikter. 7. Definer begrebet social mobilitet. Mobiliteten mellem forældre og børn fx ved uddannelses niveauet, så hvis ens forældre er højtuddannede smitter det også børnene, så de også bliver højtuddannede. 8. Hvorfor kan det give problemer? Hvis forældre har ambitioner og forventninger for deres børn vegne. Og hvis det så ikke lykkedes for deres børn at få en høj videregående uddannelse ligesom dem selv. 9. Gør rede for Morten Ejrnæs kritik af begrebet social arv. Morten mener at begrebet ”Social arv” er et negativt begreb. Det er udsat for en del kritik. Han ønsker endda at afskaffe begrebet, fordi han mener, begrebet er uklart, og han tilføjer også at det skader mere end det gavner. Mange teoretikere er uenige med Ejrnæs holdninger bl.a. at selve begrebet kan sætte fokus på vigtige problemstillinger. 10. Diskuter!

Perhaps the knight is on fire because he is losing his battle, just like the main character in Bradbury's novel. In 1937, Pablo Picasso painted Guernica, oil on canvas. The Republican Spanish government commissioned the mural for the 1937 World Fair in Paris. Guernica is a large mural, twenty-six feet wide and eleven feet tall, and was placed at the entrance to Spain’s pavilion. Haroun spends much of the story (which I gather might be imagined rather than true) making up for this mistake, through fantastic adventures in a universe where two factions are at war: those who tell stories, and those who want all stories to end and silence to reign. For this is where fiction is so much better: at the telling not of factual truths that anyone can observe, but of greater Truths about life, about what it means, what it's about, how to live it, how to enjoy it and be happy and find a purpose. To observe these Truths, one needs very good eyes indeed, and telling them directly is almost impossible. Instead, a great author must tell a story that illustrates the Truth that they experienced and observed.
