...write-down (by category, total, end category, etc.)? Does PIGS need to write-down inventory? PIGS has evidence that predicted futures prices for the months of October 2002 – January 2003 will fall below the cost of production for a hog. Where there is evidence that the utility of goods will be less than cost the difference is recognized in the current period (ASC 330-10-35-1). A write-down is generally required unless the decline is due to seasonal price fluctuations (ASC 330-10-55-2). Though, Farmer Joe believes this is just a seasonal fluctuation, there is not enough evidence in the case to support that claim. There are no examples of this happening in prior years. The one reason that is given for the price decrease is the capture of the Big Bad Wolf, which led to an increase in the supply of pork. This appears to be an unusual event that would not happen yearly and continually cause this price decrease. Though futures prices do show a recovery, even with the recovery there would still be a loss for the period. A loss shall be recognized when evidence indicates clearly that a loss has been sustained (ASC 330-10-35-4). The table of predicted futures prices shows clearly that cost is greater than market price from October to January and thus a...

...double murder trial. A. Wolf is accused of killing (and eating) The First Little Pig, and The Second Little Pig. This criminal trial is expected to be followed by a civil trial to be brought by the surviving Third Little Pig. The case has been characterized as a media circus. His testimony is transcribed below: "Everybody knows the story of the Three Little Pigs. Or at least they think they do. But I'll let you in on a little secret. Nobody knows the real story, because nobody has ever heard my side of the story. I'm Alexander T. Wolf. You can call me Al. I don't know how this whole Big Bad Wolf thing got started, but it's all wrong. Maybe it's because of our diet. Hey, it's not my fault wolves eat cute little animals like bunnies and sheep and pigs. That's just the way we are. If cheeseburgers were cute, folks would probably think you were Big and Bad too. But like I was saying, the whole big bad wolf thing is all wrong. The real story is about a sneeze and a cup of sugar. THIS IS THE REAL STORY. Way back in Once Upon a Time time, I was making a birthday cake for my dear old granny. I had a terrible sneezing cold. I ran out of sugar. So I walked down the street to ask my neighbor for a cup of sugar. Now this neighbor was a pig. And he wasn't too bright either. He had built his whole house out of straw. Can you believe it? I mean who in his right mind would build a house of straw? So of course the minute I knocked on the door, it fell right in. I didn't want to just walk...

...The Three Little Pigs classic bed time story that teaches us life lessons and brings back memories of our childhood. What more can anyone ask for from a story? The story begins with an old mother pig who had three little piglets. She could not afford to have them living at home and so asked them to go out and seek their own fortune. The trio set out on the road full of optimism. The first piglet met a man selling straw, he asked for some and set out to build a house. Enter the Big Bad wolf, who had his eye on the piglets. He went up to the first piglet’s house; he huffed and puffed and blew the house down. That was the end for little piggy. Next he went to the second piglet’s house, whose house was built from grass. This house was no match for the huffing and puffing wolf. Finally he came across the third piglet, who had built a house of bricks, and the wolf tried and tried but couldn’t do a thing to bring the house down. Undeterred, he tried a new course of action; he invited the piglet to come and pick turnips the next day. The piglet, however had sensed his ulterior motives and went early and got the turnips. The wolf was not done yet; he invited the piglet to go apple picking the next day. This time the wolf arrived early, but the piglet had gone earlier. The wolf trapped the pig up on the tree, but the piglet tossed an apple far from the wolf and fooled the wolf with this distraction. Next the wolf called the little pig to the fair, this time the wolf caught the...

...There is always two sides to every story ever told, People have been taught to only observe and understand one side of every story. But only observing one side of a story blocks our way of perceiving a event or action taken. There are many examples of how viewing stories from one side can change our perspective on it such as in children’s books, car accidents, and in the kony 2012 project. Every child has grown up reading both nonfiction and fiction childhood stories. Some with animals singing and others with people becoming a hero to save the day. One famous fiction children story is the story of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf. In most cases the story is told from the pig’s point of view of how the wolf ate two of his brothers and blew down their houses made of straw and wood. The wolf was seen as the antagonist between the two. When reading the book you only got one side of the full story and your perception was the same of the pigs, that the wolf was evil. But only recently have authors published books which tell the story from the wolfs point of view. Which helps you develop your own thoughts on how the event really took place. Based on the wolfs perception of the time of day, how it occurred, and the end result of the story of the three little pigs. In the U.S. there are approximately 6,500,000 car accidents per year, all of which involve two or more people. Based on how the accident happened and if there were any witnesses to the event. Affects rejection...

...Imagine you were in the three little pigs. If you could choose from any of the three pigs in the story, which one would you choose to be? In the short story, “The Story of the Three Little Pigs” there are three pigs that all try to protect themselves from the big bad wolf. They all make houses, out of different materials, to stop the wolf from eating them. The first two pigs build a weak house and get eaten by the big bad wolf. However, the third pig outsmarts the wolf so he doesn't get eaten. Eventually, the pig leads the wolf into a trap and the pig eats the wolf. Some might say the first pig is the most admirable or the second pig or the third. Out of all the three little pigs, the third pig is the most admirable. He was the most admirable...

...The Three Little Pigs Rewrite Once upon a time there was a wolf who loved doing good things for people. The only thing he loved more was his mother. One day she sat him down and told him that it’s time for him to move out and find a house and family for himself. So he packed up his stuff and moved out, but first he made sure to say goodbye to his mother, his father, and his grandma and grandpa. Somewhere else in the world the same thing was happening to 3 little piggies who are brothers. Their mom sent them out to go build a home and find a family. Later that day Great Good Wolf was walking on a tiny road through the forest when suddenly he heard someone scream “HELP” so he dropped his bags and ran towards the screams. When he got there...

...Three little pigs It's been three weeks since the big bad wolf has eaten my two brothers and I haven't had an opportunity to give them a proper burial because I fear the wolf is lurking out in the woods still. Some Days during my morning breakfast, I see a movement in trees, he's out there I know he is, lurking, looking, waiting for me to open my door and let my guard down. Sometimes at night i'll wake up to the sound of claws on my window “skrrreeek” (onomatopoeia). I quickly turn on my light look out the window but nothing was there. The only reason that the big bad wolf hasn't got me yet is because I have my strong brick house unlike my idiot brothers who hastily built houses of straw and twig. But lately I have gotten myself in a bit of hot water since I have built my home, I have been getting visited by some men in suits who say I need to get my home inspected to make sure it is up to date with some silly code, plus on top of that I have to start...

...The characters throughout the story change how the rising point and climax will turn out to be. The characters in a story usually have to decide whether to go down the path of either good or bad. Most of the characters decisions can either benefit the character or could be a disadvantage. Lessing’s character, Jerry wants to be like the big boys and doesn’t really like who he is therefor he wants to fit in with the crowed. He is trying to not only to prove to himself but to the other boys that he could also swim through the tunnel. Even though he is pushing himself very hard is doesn’t care if he gets really bad noise bleed, to him the only thing that matters is to swim through that...

...Have you ever seen a frog that is as big as your face? If you have you probably saw it in Mexico. That is where they all roam, live and learn to get big. This is the story of the lazy river in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Spanky and all of his cousins went out at 11 o’clock to mess around in the lazy river at the resort they stayed at. The resort had all kinds of stuff in it. They had pools, lazy rivers, slides, swim in bars, and stuff for kids. They were playing hide and seek, seeing how long they could hold their breath, talking, and just swimming. They played with some of the fancy things they had in the pool. There was this one spot where they went to started playing their games. They jumped in the far end, then they swam up the pool. Then there was a tough spot, they all had to climb over a mountain waterfall thing connected to the pool they were going to. Once they got over it, there were fountains in the middle of it on a big stand type thing. They all got on and one would stand in the middle and count to 60. Once they did they would swim around in the pool area to find everyone. They all did this for about an hour until, they started to head back at about midnight when they all...

...difference between living in the suburbs, and living in the big city. It is safe to say that Susan has become accustomed to the lifestyle of the big city, which in return has made her discontent when it comes to the more primitive life of the suburbs. The way that Susan Cheever chooses to tell her story, is done through a series of metaphors and adjectives. The result of this is that the reader is drawn into Cheevers' dynamic writing, which helps to make the essay more interesting to read. An example of this can be seen on page 10, at line 278-283, where she says: “One night the surface of the water heaved and buckled, and a turtle as big as a small car, a mossy prehistoric apparition in the middle of the city, inhaled the biggest chunk…” Every aspect of the story is described in detail, so that every object and person in the story, seems almost real enough to smell and taste. As we’re told in the essay, Susan has both lived in the big city of New York, where she lived at Central Park, as well as lived in the suburbs. Because Susan may be a person who is scared of changes, this makes it difficult for her to accept a life in the suburbs, when she had been raised in the more modernized world of the city. The city is full of modern technology, which makes for a rather great life if you are into materialistic items. The suburb does not have as many resources as the big city, which makes it all the more important to have a great and big family life. And a great family life is something that...
