In my opinion I think Blackboard is quite straight forward to use and there shouldn’t be a problem when it comes to looking for information. I first was introduced to Blackboard 7 when I was in my foundation year last year by our lecturers. At first I wasn’t sure how to use Blackboard at first as it was still new to me but after a while when I got used to it I found it actually very simple to operate. We didn’t really get any training to use Blackboard but some lecturers would show us during lecture on the screen in the beginning where we can get our lecture notes and tutorial from, and after trying it out ourselves we learnt to use Blackboard.
Using Blackboard doesn’t need much remembering, all you have to do is click on your subjects enrolled in and just go to certain folders to obtain documents related to the courses teachings. Overall, I could say Blackboard is effective to use as students are able to log on at any time they wish to gather the information or documents required by them. However occasionally the server might be down or there can be some error in the log in application which causes the students some distress as the portal cannot be accessed at that specific time wanted or needed. Blackboard is efficient to a certain extent to obtaining documents and information however sometimes downloading data from Blackboard can be troublesome for some students without a printer and these students would have to make sure they print their notes in advance in university before each class. Sometimes it would just be better if all documents are uploaded at the beginning of the semester instead of uploading the documents required each week in advance. In that way, students can print out all their materials way in advance and it saves them a lot of trouble rather than printing each time separately which can be time consuming. On the other hand, I think Blackboard
