Addison’s Disease affects the Endocrine system. With this disease your body can’t produce enough of certain hormones. In Addison’s Disease your adrenal glands produce too little cortisol and sometimes small levels of aldosterone. Some of the symptoms of Addison’s Disease are as follows; one is if a person is feeling a lot of muscle weakness and disease. Another symptom is weight loss and loss of appetite also occurs. Some people also experience darkening of the skin, low blood pressure, and low blood pressure. Nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting could also be a sign of Addison’s Disease. These symptoms usually develop slowly over several months. Addison’s Disease is usually caused by a problem with the adrenal glands themselves. A lot of the time the body’s self-defense mechanism, the immune system, mistakenly attacks the adrenal glands. When these attacks happen it destroys the outer layer of the glands. Long-lasting infections such as HIV or tuberculosis can also harm the glands. Addison’s disease can also be brought on by body spreading cancer cells. All treatment associated for Addison’s Disease is in the form of hormone replacement therapy. One drug you could use would be oral corticosteroids. A doctor would prescribe these pills to you to help replace aldosterone. Other medicines such as hydrocortisone, prednisone, or cortisone acetate may be used to replace cortisol. Another form of treatment would be corticosteroid injections. These injections are normally used if a patient experiences vomiting when taking the oral corticosteroids and can’t keep the pills down.

Baby Boo

...Hey Baby Boo I have something to tell you. You're always lighting up my heart with the things you do and say. I feel so happy just being with you this way. You're my baby, and will forever be my baby. You will always be the love of my life, and please never give up, always have faith in yourself and you will gain the greatest gift of all, the gift of hope and love you righteously deserve. Every time I think of you my heart misses a beat. You're my theme or a dream! Every moment we share together we grow closer. I'm simply hanging by a moment, waiting to see you again so you can hold me so tight that all else fades, I thought after you left you would fade away from my mind, but still, everyday I wake up dreaming of our time together. I will never forget you. I hope you still think of me too. I love you with all that I am, all that I was and all that I will ever be. Please know that my love and I are inseparable and I would want it no other way and if time could express my love for you then it's forever and a day. I can't wait to be with you, see your smile, look in your eyes, feel your sweet touch, hear your perfect words and kiss your perfect lips. The way I feel about you some people call crazy, some call it insane, but I call it true love. I really love...

...Elier Suarez Fin4514 M,W 9-10:15 Chapter 5 homework Problem 1: A. An indexed investment represents a high diversified type of securities without the risk of systematic market exposure. This form of risk cannot be diversified within the company because it represents that one company’s fragility within the market itself. B. a. An active approach toward rebalancing the policy brings competent flexibility to multiple time periods and a more favorable strategic asset allocation. b. Indexing to asset increases the portfolios time frame and returns will not beat the market. The Index will mirror the value but won’t duplicate an independents stocks deficiency. c. Adopting a policy portfolio different from your peers can be viewed as aggressive and will differentiate RFM’s returns. Policy should reflect the companies risk willingness and asset allocation should be represented as cross-sectional. C. The type of investment program being suggested is tactical asset allocation because it involves making short-term adjustments to asset-class weights. This is primarily based on short term predictions among asset classes of performance. D. The asset-only approach ignores the investor’s liabilities while the ALM approach adopts the asset allocation that is best to support the liabilities. A dynamic approach to asset allocation benefits between multiple active periods. On the other hand, a major disadvantage to this approach is that is costly and...

Boo Be Scared

...Ignorance is defined as the lack of knowledge or information. Like the “prisoners” in the cave, people can be completely oblivious to the outside, and the world that surrounds them. Plato’s “myth of the cave” can be analyzed that the group of people being imprisoned were tricked into believing that the shadows they saw were that of “reality”. Of course for some the thought of escape crossed their minds, but for others that is what they believed life was. Ignorance is easily compared to being imprisoned in a cave. Although we see what happens all around us, do we really understand what we are seeing? For few the answer is yes, but for most this is life and we are just meant to go through it. The same is to be said for those in the cave. Some wanted to escape and see what “reality” truly was, but most believed that was all it had to offer. For those who understand it’s a lesson learned every day. We know are meaning on this Earth and we understand our destination. We realize life is a game instead of a joy ride. And we realize those who play the “game” best, come out on top. As for those who simply just sit back and enjoy the “ride”, they get what they get and will never know if they were meant to achieve more or not. Although these people may not be stupid, they are considered ignorant because they don’t necessarily lack knowledge, but they lack the fact that there is always more to things than what you may see or...

...Introduction to Antarctica: Most people know that Antarctica is the coldest place on Earth, but did you know it is the worlds largest desert? or that a giant lake is locked beneath the ice? or that huge volcanoes can be found here? Antarctica is the fifth largest of the Earth's seven continents. It is the coldest continent located at the southern end of Earth. Antarctica is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. It's remote location and harsh climate of freezing weather and extreme winds makes it impossible for a permanent human population. The continent was circumnavigated by Captain James Cook in the 18th century, but he never saw it. In the early 20th century explorers were obsessed with reaching the South Pole and eventually it was Roald Amundsen who was the first to reach this point in 1911. History of Antarctica: Around 200 million years ago Antarctica was part of the super continent Gondwana. Joined with Australia, Africa, South America, India and New Zealand. Over time Gondwana began to break into pieces and slowly moved to their present positions. The word Antarctic comes from the Greek word 'Antarktos' meaning south of the bear or opposite north. Antarctica is the fifth largest of the Earth's seven continents. It has an area of nearly 14 million square kilometres. Antarctica was the last continent to be discovered. It was first sighted early in the 19th century, Scientific expeditions and seal hunters explored pieces of the Antarctic coast but had not made...

Boo Radley Quotes

...I believe in the book, “To Kill a Mockingbird”, that Boo Radley symbolizes the Mockingbird mostly because he does nothing wrong but help people. For Example “A Mockingbird does nothing but sing its heart out for us to enjoy.” My first piece of evidence is Boo Radley gave them two carved dolls, a ball of twine, a spelling-bee medal, a broken pocket watch with an aluminum knife attached on a chain to it, two pieces of gum, and two pieces of gum. My quote to back up my first piece of evidence is, “I stood tiptoe, hastily looked around once more, reached in the hole, and withdrew two pieces of chewing gum minus the wrappers.” My second piece of evidence comes from when he puts the blanket around scout while it was freezing outside and Miss....

...Austin Cheatum 20 July 2016 U.S. History Book Review “The Killing Zone: My Life in The Vietnam War” is not an argument for or against the Vietnam war. It is simply a personal account of infantryman and a lieutenant from 1967 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. Before I read this book, I understood the Vietnam war to be one of the most traumatizing wars if not the most traumatizing war in the history of our nation. Fredrick Downs, the author of the book, was the lieutenant who was assigned to lead Alpha One Six. Reading this book, you will see the day to day experiences of his platoon. Fredrick was excited to become a soldier for his country but didn’t realize the pain and suffering that is inevitable while at war. Downs and his platoon alternate between the searching of jungles on destroy missions and the assignment of watching the three small bridges, labeled “101, 102, and 103”. It is early in this command that the first casualties under his watch occur. They came across many obstacles through their journey such as: mines, booby traps, ambushes, frags (grenades), scorching heat, monsoon rains, air assaults, tunnel complexes, digging up graves, etc. Immediately when they entered the jungle, struggles began. They were attacked a swarm of hornets. Shortly after, they were plotting and making a strategy to drop their “superior firepower” onto the Vietnamese and it dawned on them that they should do leach check. Downs ended up having three leaches sucked onto his body. He assumed...

...Throughout centuries many people always provoke someone from doing situations they will regret and others have their way of planning a scheme to try to hurt another. In the reading Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare; According to Calpurnia she is persuading Caesar not to go to the capitol because she believes there are many threating omens and is trying to make him understand that he might get hurt. However, Decius Brutus is trying to be sly and insisting him to go or not he will let the others down. This shows that both Brutus and Calpurnia are trying to persuade him in a both positive and negative way; but it’s all up to Caesar to know if it’s great idea. Calpurnia is very frightened that a war might go on and Caesar might get hurt; therefore she’s insecure of letting him go to the Capitol because she has overheard other men talking about how it can get. For example, Calpurnia says, “The noise of battle hurtled in the air, Horses did neigh, and dying men did groan,” This is describing how those wars are like and what it can lead too. Her plan is too try to get Caesar not to go. On the contrary, Decius is doing the opposite he wants Caesar to attend the Capitol and tells him if he doesn’t go the people will be disappointed. This is important because, he is in two situations and both of them have their pros and cons. Furthermore he states that at the end if God’s choose he will die. Another essential point is that Calpurnia not just overheard from the men but also she seen...
