Kudler Fine Foods has been in business since 1998 and has since opened two more stores since. Since inception the store has been known for there fine foods and wine selection. They have been so successful that they are looking to open a frequent shopper program for each store. In the process of attempting the program, there may have been some questions that have not been answered as far as security concerns. Some of which I would like to discuss in this article. I would like to discuss security within the legal and ethical department. In the proposal on your website the program that you are attempting to create has some security holes and some things that you may not have thought of yet. From the first sentence on your website, you discuss tracking the customer purchasing behavior. This will have to be strategic on how you plan on tracking their customers. The laws are very strict on following the customer’s data and what they purchase. A consent form will have to be signed for the company to start monitoring what they are purchasing also. If the proper paperwork and research is not done before this shopper is implemented, the store could suffer huge fines and loss of customers. For a small upcoming grocery store a thousand dollar fine could be a huge hit in their bottom line and if this happens in all the grocery stores that Kudler foods owns. It could potentially put them out of business. If the customer wanted to take it far enough, Kudler foods could end up in court and the legal fees would be outrageous compared to the bottom line every day in a grocery store. We wanted to let the management of the store aware of any concerns that might come up when implementing a frequent shopper program. There should be training within the store to make sure that all the staff is on the
