The disease I decided to research which is commonly known is Parvo, also known as Canine Parvovirus (CPV). This is a highly contagious viral illness that affects puppies and dogs from the age of six weeks all the way until they are six months. Unvaccinated dogs and puppies under four months have th whitest risk of catching this virus. This is a very serious disease that most of the time can lead to death without the proper care and treatment. There are two forms of the virus intestinal form and cardiac form. Parvo attacks at a rapid pace diving the cells in the puppies body, mostly affecting the intestinal tract. This is why it is very important to get your puppies vaccinated to reduced the chances of them catching the virus. Abdominal radiograph imaging may show intestinal obstruction, while an abdominal ultrasound may reveal enlarged lymph nodes in the groin, or throughout the body, and fluid-filled intestinal segments.
