“A culture is not the product of a creative group mind: or the expression of general will. No society began with a social contract, no economic system with the idea of barter or wager, no family structure with an insight into the advantage of cohabitation. A culture evolves when new practices further the survival of those who regulate them”. Knutsden, (1970). After reading Knutsden, (1970) Crime in a Complex Society I agree with his statement and conclusion, “American culture is to be blamed for Black Crimes.” In support of the foregoing statement I put forth the following arguments. I believe that American culture is a culture that is strategically designed to support white supremacy and white domination. I deduce, that the American culture is also organized, so as to, perpetuate the oppression and downfall of the Black race. With this information presented in clear view, let us look at the real connection between the American culture and Black Crime.
Looking at the American justice for the blacks, we can see that it is dehumanizing, and often times stripping them of their identities. The determinants that are followed, after blacks commit crimes, do not follow the same procedure with whites. In many instances, the police and court systems are more of a disadvantage to the blacks. This inhumane and unnatural treatment of blacks has been a part of the American culture, it has been the general trend; it existed in the past, the present, and no doubt will continue to the future. Evidently America has created a monster. This monster has been haunting America and only America can, “uncreate” it. Even though the black population evolves on its own; the whites heavily control it. Whatever plans the blacks use to develop their own culture, the white will find a way to tear them down.
