“Slander in the name of _(higher power)_”. The Christian religion sometimes acts in ways that are contradicting. I have experienced seeing religious people claiming to spread love and then watch them turn around and bash a group of people. To me I believe that the religion is confusing because it can give two different impressions that are completely opposite. For example, one impression is that everyone is equal and viewed the same, and another is that men are above women. Some believe that God created man and then woman for the man. People will get the idea of women are second and belong to men.
Growing up in the church defiantly shaped me into the person that I am now. There were ups and downs about my experience that still impact me today.

Premarital Sex Premarital Sex and Religion The Catholic Church teaches that premarital sex is wrong, yet it is still widely practiced around the world. The reason marriage was created was to join two people of the opposite sex together in a holy sacrament that would make the couple one. God's reason for marriage is quoted in the bible when he said, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh" . The Sacrament of marriage is one of the most sacred Sacraments in the Catholic Religion. By performing premarital sex, the couple is breaking a covenant with God and is performing a sin. Marriage is the joining of a couple in the eyes of God and in the eyes of the State. When two people are joined into marriage they become...

The result shows the direct effect of democracy is weak, however, the hypothesis of religion’s effect on the democracy’s influence is partially confirmed. Therefore, democracy itself has minor influence on inequality while a large proportion of the effect is...

What Is the Racial Project in Egypt?

...What is the Racial Project in Egypt? Introduction: Our research paper will be based on the racial project in Egypt, and how people are acting upon this racial project without even realizing it. A lot of people don’t usually realize when and how they are being racist against an Egyptian person who is considered one of their own. Egyptians tend to think they are the nicest and least racists of all people around the world, but after conducting our research we will begin to discover whether or not this is the case. After conducting research and observations, we came across the fact that the Egyptian people differentiate each other under the categories of religion. There are only two types of religions identified by the Egyptian government and are written in ID cards, those two religions are Islam and Christianity. Even though, there are some Egyptians who believe in other types of religions, the government does not recognize these religions, so they cannot be identified with what they believe in. So, what happens is that they are forced to be identified as either a Muslim or a Christian in their ID’s whether they believe in either form of religion because the Egyptian government and its people base religion as one of the main pillars of society and life and refuse to accept other forms found in Egypt such as Judaism, Baha’i, Atheism and Agnosticism. The question here lies within the context of the people and the government. Why would the government and its people...

...Have you ever wondered why Christians call each other brothers and sisters? This is due to the fact that we are supposed to be a family. Think of the members in your family. If there was information that was important for the members of the family to know, it would spread until everyone knew regardless of if they accepted the information or not. This should be done to also in God’s family even with members that do not know the gospel. They way to open the communications with people that do not know the gospel is with love. Worldvivew Paper

...WORLDVIEW/RELIGION ANALYSIS PAPER Nathan Brookstone, Jr. APOL 500 26 October 2012 Introduction There are many ‘Worldviews’ regarding religion. The topic of this paper will discuss the Worldview known as Islam. Islam claims to be the only true religion, bringing the purest message of Allah and could have succeeded. This paper will contain a summary of Islam, a critique, a plan as to how Christians can share the gospel and a conclusion. Summary of the Worldview of Islam Islam, to surrender, is a worldview religion founded by Abu al-Qasim Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn “Abd al Muttalib ibn Hashim; or more commonly known, Muhammad. Isalam is a religion based on one man’s vision, one man’s experience. Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, is believed to be the last prophet of Allah (God). To understand Islam is to get to now its founder, Muhammad; as well as his life changing visions. Muhammad was forty years old when he experienced his first vision. It is said that Muhammad had a vision that he was visited by the angel Gabriel. In this vision Gabriel said that all the religions of the world were not only wrong and corrupted. In this vision Gabriel also said that the message of God was corrupted by man and he would be Gods messenger. Muhammad was going to receive the message from God. Silence by Jd Shuduku

...Dr. Chan Thrs 231 Jannie Or Paper1 I disagree that the best way to study religion is learning from a page from the World Almanac. The information is not accurate and not adequate when comparing the world non-Christian on a few paragraph. First, Among all those ambiguous religion questions, one of them is very difficult to answer- who is the founder of the religion? According to the informative paper: "Founder of Hinduism--The Aryan invaders" which actually in the modern history people consider that there is no single founder. However, the religion is originally established by God Himself (dharman tu sakshad bhagavat pranitam) which claimed by the ancient scriptures of India; as well, "Islam's founder is Muhammad" who is known as rasul Allah, or God's Messenger to the Arabs, and to all of humanity. In my opinion, it is very difficult to specified the founder of religion into a particular person. The sacred text is difficult to conclude in some religion. For example, Buddhism's "sacred text is the Tripitaka" however, Buddhism's sacred text might include not only The Tripitaka, the Mahayana Sutras, and the Tibetan Book of the Dead. I need to think the reason why only list The Tripitaka as Buddhism's sacred text might be it is because The Tripitaka is the most important one. Another problem is how to classified the most influential sacred text, the information is not very precisely stated. For example, the sacred text of Hinduism can...

...Research World Religions If there's a specific religion with which you are unfamiliar, research the basic beliefs of that religion to form the basis of a fascinating research paper. Because religions are complicated and dynamic, it's impossible to outline the entire doctrine of a religion in a single paper. Instead, stick to a limited topic. For example, you might research the ethical mandates of Christianity or the gods of Hinduism. Explore History and Religion If you find a particular religion fascinating, explore it through a historical lens. For example, you might research the historical evidence that Jesus existed or address the social trends that led to the rise of Islam. For such a paper, rely primarily on secular and historical sources, though you can use the religion's sacred texts to inform your historical analysis. Religion

...look into Judaism and Christianity GE117: Composition I Why talk about religion? Religion is important and plays a major role in everyone’s life and is sometimes the basis of an individual’s moral values. My last job put me under the influence of an older Jewish gentleman and we became fast friends. We would often take lunch together and I would usually question, out of pure curiosity, some of his mannerisms that I found interesting. Through him I was introduced to what are known as the Jewish articles of faith. They seem to be a sort of basis to the religion or key attributes that all Jews share. These principals have some similarities to the concepts I was taught and that they are not as different as we believe. The majority of my Christian upbringing comprised mostly of reciting the books of the Bible by memory, learning to give a proper devotion, and how to pray. Through continuous reading and studying of the Bible we also learned of Jesus and how only through him we can receive the grace of GOD the Almighty and the gift of eternal life. Judaism does not include this. Jews believe in GOD as a unitary being unlike the Christian view of GOD being composed of three separate, but in all essence the same being: GOD the Father, GOD the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Most everyone I know believes in this doctrine and I think it is the most accepted doctrine circulating in the Christian community. Throughout history there have been meeting to determine what should...
