...Thank You M’am The story was written in 1958 and set to be in the 1950s. The story is taking place in a big American city because there is a complex environment. I guess that it took place in New York. The story is about a boy named Roger and a lady named Mrs. Jones. Roger tried to steal Mrs. Jones purse but she caught him and took Roger with her home. She gave him food, washed his face. Later Mrs. Jones gave Roger 10 dollars so he could buy the blue suede shoes that he wanted and then she walked him out before he could say goodbye. Roger: Roger’s a teenage boy and not a strong boy since he can’t get loose from Mrs. Jones grip. It’s also told in the text that he is frail and willow-wild and that means he is thin and has long arms. Roger looked like a boy that’s fourteen or fifteen years old and it’s also told in the text. “He looked as if he were fourteen or fifteen, frail and willow-wild, in tennis shoes and blue jeans”. Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones: Mrs. Jones is a big strong lady. She’s not only physically strong but also strong mentally. ””But you put yourself in contact with me”” she make Roger think of what he has done wrong and making him think. “continued to drag him up the street” It’s showing that she is a very strong big woman. She is also a woman that’s trying to be responsible”” You ought to be my son. I would teach you right from wrong.“ and she is trying to be responsible because she see herself in him” I have done things, too, which I would not tell...
