Penting untuk mempelajari dan memahami sebuah budaya negara untuk mengetahui lebih dalam karakteristik negara tersebut. 2. Mengaplikasikan pengetahuan sosial dan budaya tersebut ke dalam proses perencanaan pemasaran. 3. Dan, menciptakan keunggulan dengan penyesuaian terhadap budaya yang dianggap sesuai dan bisa mendatangkan profit bagi perusahaan tanpa perlu membuang biaya untuk hal yang kurang diperlukan. Contohnya, seorang Indonesia yang memiliki uncertainty avoidance akan cenderung berobat ke Malaysia dan Singapura daripada di dalam negara Indonesia sendiri. Sedangkan, menurut Geert Hofstede: “The collective programming of the mind that distinguishes the members of one category of people from those of another”. • Hal-hal yang membentuk perilaku manusia antara lain conscious and unconscious values, ideas, attitudes, and symbols. Attitude: learned tendency to respond in a consistent way to a given object. Belief: an organized pattern of knowledge that an individual holds to be true about the world.
