In Everything, Everything the author uses conflict to teach that sometimes the best thing you can do is take a risk. For example, he does this by showing that whenever Maddy takes a risk and runs off to Hawaii with Olly, it changed her life forever. It changed her life forever, because she finally found out she doesn’t, and never had SCID. This supports the theme because it shows that without taking a risk, Maddy would have never found out that she didn’t have this disease in the first place.
