It has nurtured some of the most ancient civilizations of this continent. The young country came into existence after a blood-spattered liberation war in 1971. But the pace of growth and development has been impeded by many factors. Bangladesh, as a Least Developing Country (LDC), faces a reputation challenge which is popularly known as its image problem. Bangladesh has gained the image of a country with too many people, too much poverty, too little resources, too frequent disasters and too little ability to change for better. Recently poor law and order, bad investment climate and Islamic terrorism have killed its image more. To remove all the negative aspects and image surrounding Bangladesh and to make it as a beautiful and prospective country it is highly recommended to branding Bangladesh. ...1. Our language, as well as the language of neighboring countries, is said to be of autronesian origins. Taken from the Latin austro, meaning southern, and the Greekneses, meaning islands, austronesian carried out one of humankind's greatest population movements from their reputed homeland in Southeast Asia to the Pacific islands, which is equivalent to one third of the globe. Before 1500, it was said to be the most widespread language. At present, it is spoken by 270 million people, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Madagascar. Also spoken by the inhabitants of the Pacific islands (Micro-, Mela-, and Polynesia) and the aborigines in Taiwan, Vietnam and Campuchea, New Guinea, the Mergui Archipelago in Burma, Hainan Island, and South China, it is said to have come from one family, the Proto-Austonesian language, because of the similarities in vocabulary. Studies suggest that speakers used words that related to rice cultivation and boat-making, this prompting them to suggest that the people who spoke this language had a culture in which ancestral homelands, horticulture, animal domestication and boat making were known. This is further supported by botanical studies that reveal that in areas populated by Austronesians, domesticated plants such as yam, taro, sugar cane, banana, breadfruit, and coconut were commonly used by the people. Further proof that the languages spoken by the above mentioned countries are one and the same can be found in the genetic evidences...

...Neighbors are part of our daily lives. They are part of the process of socialization. Socialization is the process in which we interact with other people. In our lives, we are always trying to look for a good area to live, a nice house and most important of all good neighbors. In my opinion, a good neighbor should be respectful, friendly and helpful. The first quality of good neighbors is that they should be friendly. The way to be friendly is showing their care about you, and they should welcome you to their neighborhood. Neighbors are those people we meet every day when we go in and out of our houses. A nice and sincere smile on their faces, or a simple 'hello' as a warm greeting on the way, may bring us a joyful mood for a start of a day. Nice neighbors will provide us a very comfortable living environment through their care and friendship. For example, in 2011 I moved to town house in Alexandria we had a moving truck parked in front of our house as soon as we open the door to unload the furniture an old guy and lady came in and introduce there selves and they said my name is William Macmahon and my wife is Karen and we are your new neighbors with big smile. They asked if he can help us to unload the furniture from the truck and they insisted to help. After they helped us unloading, his wife Karen went back to the house and offered us a welcoming gift classic homemade pie that she cooked it for us was delicious. They were such a friendly people. William told me about the...

...Content Hari Raya Aidilfitri Hari Raya (Arabic: عيد الفطر; 'Ayd al-Fitr: "festival nature") is celebrated on 1st Syawal in AH. The festival is also known as Labour Day, the Day of Fitr and Lebaran Day. Hari Raya is a festival celebrated by Muslims around the world regardless of race, whether Malays, Indians, Muslims and other nations around the world Muslims to mark end of Ramadan in which Muslims had to undergo fasting diligently. It is one of the two biggest festival for Muslims, as well as Hari Raya Korban. Labour Day began in two ways, ie through Rukyah (looking at the moon) or in mathematics (calculations). If the Rukyah, when the moon appears, this marks the beginning of Shawwal, the month-10 in the Islamic Hijra Calendar. In Malaysia, the moon will be observed by the officer on duty in the afternoon to evening prayer in several strategic places. Nature and interpretation of Zakat Hari Raya Puasa is the end of the period to pay zakat is the nature of those who still live up to that time. Nature of Zakat is not payable for those who have died. Normally, Muslims will start to pay zakat nature since Ramadan began and the nature of this charity will cease to be collected when the Aidilfitri prayers started. Therefore, normally Aidilfitri prayers slightly delayed compared Aidiladha prayers. Somehow missed some prayers Aidilfitri is to provide opportunities to those who have to pay zakat to discharge their duties and encouraged to eat before going to the mosque. It is...

...Dear Sir/Madam, We are writing on behalf of UIU Social Services Club (UIUSSC), the university’s local student-run organization which works for helping needy people. We recently organized an Iftar Mafil with students and Orphans, and now we have taken the initiative to provide new Eid gifts, not only for them but also to many more. We want to ensure that these unfortunate orphans also have a reason to smile and rejoice on this Eid – ul – Fitr. We plan to provide new punjabi and clothes to Arambag Eatim Khana, an orphan center housing over 150 orphans, most of whom have lost both parents. This orphan center is located in Faridpur Bilmahmoodpur, an urban area where the people are more deprived and destitute. Our preference of this location comes from several factors, namely that the orphan center is going through difficulties in continuing with its operations based on its current donations, and the fact that we will be provided with local and transport support. We have opened our booths to collect donations from 28th June and will continue to collect donations from UIU students until 8th July, 2015. In addition, we would be highly delighted if you, as UIU Faculties would also contribute to our noble cause as you have done in our past events. The Prophet (pbuh) said, "None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. He also said “The best charity is that given in Ramadhan.” [At-Tirmithi]. So we urge you to please...

...employees were able to prove that disparate impact and treatment existed and that the company retaliated against them by firing employees when they requested that their evening break be moved so that they could break their fast and pray at sundown during the month of Ramadan, which is an Islamic holiday that requires Muslims to fast from sun up to sundown. JBS-Swift did not make reasonable accommodation for employees’ religious beliefs when scheduling them to work. They also did not provide the option for employees to use personal leave for holiday time not specified in the employee manual. In contrasting the solutions to the Tyson Foods situation and the JBS-Swift situation, Tyson Foods’ solution to accommodate the employees who celebrate Eid ul-Fitr involved having eight paid holidays, which included a personal holiday that had to be approved by a supervisor. JBS-Swift set up special prayer rooms at its plants and allowed Muslim workers to pray 5 times per day. I think that JBS-Swift is likely to have the greatest positive impact on the company because it’s decision to provide a place on site and allow the employees time to pray on the job keeps the employees on-site and allows production to continue. Non-Muslim employees who do not have to pray five times daily should be given the option to use...

...Zakaat al-Fitr Praise be to Allaah. Definition Zakaat al-Fitr is a kind of charity (sadaqah) that is obligatory at the time of breaking the fast of Ramadaan. The word zakaat is connected by idaafah (genitive structure in Arabic grammar) to fitr because the occasion of breaking the fast is the reason why this zakaat becomes obligatory. Reasons for zakaat al-fitr and what Islam says about it Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made zakaat al-fitr obligatory as a means of purifying the fasting person from idle talk and foul language, and to feed the poor. Whoever pays it before the prayer, it is an accepted zakaat, and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is just a kind of charity (sadaqah).” (Reported by Abu Dawood, 1371. Al-Nawawi said: Abu Dawood reported it from Ibn ‘Abbaas with a hasan isnaad). “Purifying” means purifying the soul of the one who has fasted Ramadaan. With regard to the word “foul language”, Ibn al-Atheer said: “ ‘Foul language’ refers to obscene speech. ‘Feeding [the poor]’ refers to food that is edible. ‘Whoever pays it before the prayer’ means before Salaat al-‘Eid. ‘It is an accepted zakaat’ – here zakaat means sadaqat al-fitr. ‘Just a kind of charity’ means a kind of charity that could be given at any time.” (‘Awn al-Ma’bood Sharh Abi Dawood). It was said that this is what was meant by the aayah in Soorat al-A’laa (interpretation of the meaning): “But those will prosper who purify themselves...

...Summary Jama Masjid Allah Wali is an old multistory mosque situated in the busy area of Bohrapir. This mosque was constructed before the partition of sub-continent, in 1897 A.D. Its minor renovations was recently carried out in 2009. Allah Wali Masjid misses some major features and facilities which are found in a common mosque. The connections between spaces are not defined. Transition between spaces can become difficult. Its entrance gate doesn’t suffice for a small crowd to pass adequately. The ablution area of Allah Wali Masjid is situated outside the boundaries of the mosque, and has been designed poorly, with no considerations of users’ access and transition from the ablution space. Access to the upper levels of the mosque is not easy. There are issues with the steps, and the width of stairs. There are no facilities for the handicapped personnel, no ramp or special considerations for handicapped are available. The bathrooms are located right next to the mosque and are poorly oriented. There is no provision for Janaza, and namaz e janaza is offered on the road adjacent to the mosque. Introduction Mosque is a space where a connection between God and His creation is established. His creation visits this space five times a day, worshipping and offering prayers. Such a space, where a spiritual link...

...At the outset of Chapter 1, just as the book begins, Amir writes these words. With them, he hints at the central drama of the story and the reason he is telling it. To the reader, the quotation functions as a teaser. It piques the reader’s interest without revealing exactly what Amir is talking about, and from the time period Amir mentions, twenty-six years, the reader gets an idea of just how important this moment was. As the story unfolds, we realize that the deserted alley Amir refers to is where Hassan was raped, and that this event has largely defined the course of Amir’s life since. This is what Amir means when he says that the past continues to claw its way out. Try as he might to bury it, he was unable to because his feelings of guilt kept arising. As a result, he figuratively continues peeking into the alley where Assef raped Hassan, literally meaning that he keeps going over the event in his mind. 2. “A boy who won’t stand up for himself becomes a man who can’t stand up to anything.” Baba says these words to Rahim Khan while he is talking about Amir at the end of Chapter 3, and the quotation reveals important traits in both Amir and Baba. With these words, Baba sums up one of Amir’s major character flaws—his cowardice—and Baba shows how much value he places in standing up for what is right. Baba is reluctant to praise Amir, largely because he feels Amir lacks the courage to even stand up for himself, leaving Amir constantly craving Baba’s approval. Amir’s desire for...
