Eli Terry created elegance with his clocks by engraving them into metal with hand tools. He was the eldest of ten children. Terry was fourteen when he began building clocks. He wanted to make and repair clocks, and he succeeded. Terry helped America keep time with his clocks.
Eli Terry’s life begun when he was born in 1772 in Connecticut. Eli Terry had a common school education. Terry’s nationality was American and his occupation was industrial. Terry’s parents were Huldah and Samuel Terry. Terry died in 1852 and gave to his family.
Eli Terry’s clock seceded as he worked with Daniel Burnap and Timothy Cheney. Terry designed different patterns for his fancy clocks and he got a $4,000 contract. He later found a shelf clock which took
