...I, as a Register Nurse do not consider myself an expertise, I still need to learn and am learning new things daily at my work place. I been a Register Nurse only nine years, I worked in med surgery for one year and presently I been working in NICU, I love working with neonates and their families. The best nursing care is given when you are involved with the patient, and their families. I do get attached to the families after many months of caring for them, it is hard not to. Emotionally caring for the patients does not get in the way to give good nursing. I think you have to get emotionally involved to do your best work, if the nurse is passionate on what she/he is doing, the best care will be given. Most of the time the quality of nursing care are based on policy and procedures and at times we have to deviate from this strict rules to do what is best for the patient. I do some time draw from past experiences, at times with hesitation because each situation is different even that at times appear similar. I collect all pertinent information (patient history, labs, Vital Signs, patient assessments, etc…) before I make decisions. I have been able to see if when something goes wrong with the patient but always missed something, as I get more experience in the nursing field I can now automatically see when the patient is taking a turn for the worst. Once in a while there will be a situation when the patient appears fine, and I have a gut feeling...

...According to Campus Creche, they have five individual centers for different aged children. They have basic vision/plan that they use in common but also each center has an individual style and age appropriated programs and curriculums. They seem to understand that each stage of child’s development, there are things that are important to learn and develop. For example, children aged from 3 to 18 months need to build trust so it is important to help babies to feel settled and happy in a safe and secure environment. They also do not have exactly same routines. They seem to be very flexible and try to follow individual child’s rhythms, which I believe is ideal way to respect and encourage children to be independent. Lastly, Campus Creche has an assessment process that caters for each child, which helps them plan and enhance child’s learning. There will be observing and planning based on each child so I believe they will gather more information based on individual child, which will be beneficial for both the child and teachers. According to Katz, Dispositions are frequent and voluntary habits of thinking and doing. These habits of mind are not to be confused with mindless habits, such as stopping at a red light (Katz 1993). Also children are environmentally sensitive which means they are acquired, supported, or weakened by interactive experiences in an environment with significant adults and peers. For example, if the teacher has developed value play disposition, she would provide...

...Before coming to class, we were assigned to read pages 51-60 in the composition guide. We were assigned these essays because they are researched argumentative essays. Our final paper coming up soon will also be an argumentative essay. The first essay I read was "Coloring the Workforce" by Valerie Keys. I found this essay to be very helpful. The essay not only talked about African Americans struggling in the workforce, but it focused on African American women. The essay gave very relevant examples and statistics which helped with its validity. There was also an abundance of sources at the end which help verify that the author did their research. The second essay I read was "Anabolic-Androgenic Steroid Literature Review" by Vanessa Parslow....

...English class by far was my least liked class in all my middle school and high school education and never would I have thought that what I once disliked as a student would be of such importance to my future career. Being able to write, read, and understand, simply becomes the basics to learning and getting through college, and I, myself am still acquiring the necessary skills to become a better writer. In fact, one of the goals I plan to accomplish through my college education is to become a better writer. I can read and understand what I am reading pretty good but when it comes to writing I feel like I still lack some skills and expertise, and certainly being able to write will be of great value to my future career. Writing allows us to communicate our ideas, our beliefs, our understanding of a subject, and our dreams. Through this process one can inform, persuade, express, entertain, and explain, and this is why I believe writing is so important, especially when you have dedicated yourself to a life-long learning experience. School and from my experiences in writing I can say I’ve had but minimal training, just the basics. Never have I ever written something for fun or for my own good, every time I write it’s for a grade, not for my own pleasure nor for a greater purpose than just a grade, and surely this has to change. Ever sense I have become extremely interested in learning more about the world around me, understanding what is happening and why its happening, has made me...

...writing this as a general note to everyone. If it does not apply to you just read for your pleasure. Many of you may have never had the opportunity to write a research paper. The paper is not a speech, it is not a conversation that you have with someone, and it is not a personal letter that you are writing. Every class I seem to get one or two who write this way and write like: “First of all, we will address-------“…..You are not addressing anything. You approach a paper as a researcher—simply providing evidence without bias…You do not write the paper in first person meaning you do not use the words “I, we, me, us, you”, and so forth. Also, writing is done in present and future tense. You will not have a sentence like: “these steps would be good for any business”. This can be worded as “these steps can be good for any business or these steps may be good for any business”. Again understandably, many of you may not have had the opportunity to write a paper as this. The easiest thing to do but most people do not is to look at the grading Rubric. Liberty writes the course and deliverables; not the instructor. The paper is due Monday of week 7. No late work is accepted. This is strictly enforced for many reasons with the most basic of keeping deadlines. The deans remind us that students will have had 7 weeks to prepare a paper and procrastinating or waiting to the last minute is not favorable practice for future managers. Secondly, there will always be issues with computers, Internet, the...

...Harvard Business School 9-297-005 Rev. October 18, 1996 D O Private Equity Investment in Russia: Alliance Cellulose Limited N In April, 1995, portfolio managers were reassessing the investment climate in Russia. Since the disintegration of Communism and the Soviet Union in 1991, western investors had been intrigued by the potentially huge returns that could be gained by participating in the restructuring of the Russian economy. Russia’s transformation to a market system, however, had been highlighted by missteps and disappointments. Foreign investors who had jumped into the market only eight months earlier were burned badly by a general market collapse in October. Furthermore, Russia’s political and economic future were uncertain. O Nevertheless, Russia possessed many attractive features that could reward those with the courage to invest at this early stage of market development. Russia’s natural resources accounted for significant portions of the world’s proven oil and gas, timber, coal, and minerals reserves. In addition, the privatization process, lack of internal capital, and country-specific risk resulted in valuations for Russian companies that seemed to be small fractions of their world peers. T Russia in 1995 was frequently compared to America’s “Wild West,” when the search for riches and general lawlessness combined to create very volatile conditions. While western money managers were drawn to Russia by tantalizing asset valuations...
