Essay on a Global Insect Problem Some researchers have called climate change the biggest health threat the world has ever faced. This climate change causes insects that vector deadly diseases to move into areas where they do not presently occur. So as you can see there are millions of lives in danger, and something needs to be done. I believe the best way to attack this problem is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, spend more on developing vaccines for deadly diseases, and establish localized early-warning systems. These are only a few ways to help fight against this potential problem, but can lay the basis to making our lives safer in the future. The reduction of greenhouse gas emissions will help prevent global warming, and therefore will avoid the migration of unknown diseases. Nonrenewable energy sources are becoming more prevalent in today’s society, but we still are burning too many fossil fuels. Governments around the world are working on policies to decrease these emissions, and there has been positive feedback all over the world. One of the largest industries that are making a difference is the automobile industry due to the constant improvements to electric cars. Once we are able to “electrify” the transportation sector by actively transitioning to vehicles that run on electricity, greenhouse gases will be exponentially decreased. The World Health Organization says that infectious diseases are responsible for a third of all deaths worldwide, killing at least 15 million people a year. This should show you why we should be spending more money on developing vaccines for deadly diseases. Though vaccination has transformed the lives of people in both rich and poor countries by contributing to huge reductions in previously common diseases, new diseases have come about and continue to be deadly. Even worse the climate change could cause diseases to shift
